We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer (GenAI/RAG Platform) to build and deploy our AI-powered recruitment platform, OPAL.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain React.js dashboards for recruiters and hiring managers.
• Implement backend services using FastAPI, including REST API endpoints, report generation, data management, and cron job scheduling.
• Build and optimize Python-based AI processing pipelines for CV ingestion, AI scoring, and candidate report generation.
• Develop and maintain RAG pipelines, including chunking, embeddings, vector search, reranking, and retrieval grounding.
• Integrate and deploy agentic AI workflows using tools such as LangGraph, CrewAI, or N8N for autonomous recruitment processes.
• Leverage Supabase, PostgreSQL, and pgvector for hybrid keyword and semantic search functionalities.
• Integrate external APIs, including ATS platforms, AI APIs (Claude, OpenAI), and email delivery systems.
• Apply DevOps best practices for version control, API design, testing, deployment, and error handling.

Requirements

Must-have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, or a related field
• Open to all nationalities; full-time employment and eligible to work in Malaysia (remote, onsite, or hybrid)
• 1-4 years building production GenAI/RAG systems with demonstrated ability to ship complete applications from UI to database to AI pipeline
• Proficiency in Python (primary language) and JavaScript/React
• Experience building and deploying FastAPI backend services and React.js dashboards
• Hands-on experience with Supabase, PostgreSQL, and pgvector for hybrid keyword and semantic search
• Experience integrating and using AI APIs (Claude API, OpenAI API), embeddings, and prompt engineering
• Real-world experience with RAG pipelines: chunking, embeddings, vector search (pgvector, Pinecone, Weaviate, or similar), reranking, and retrieval grounding
• Hands-on experience with at least one of LangGraph, CrewAI, or N8N in a production or near-production context for agentic AI workflows
• Experience with DevOps practices: Git, REST API design, testing, error handling, cron job scheduling, and cloud/VPS deployment
• Proven track record integrating external APIs

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with LangChain or LlamaIndex for knowledge-based RAG systems
• Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or additional AI agent frameworks
• Experience with GPT Vision or multimodal AI
• Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
• Experience with Docker for containerised development environments
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor or GitHub Copilot
