Job Purpose: Executive - Horticulture is responsible for ensuring the health, aesthetics, and sustainability of the airport's green spaces through hands-on maintenance, effective execution of horticultural practices, and support of the overall landscaping efforts.
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, or a related field.
Work Experience:
3-5 years of experience in landscape or horticulture operations, preferably leading the landscape development/maintenance works in large Infrastructure projects like Airport/Hotel/Commercial buildings
Landscape Maintenance and Operations:
Oversee day-to-day horticultural operations across airside and landside areas.
Ensure that scheduled landscape activities are executed effectively, following the planned maintenance schedules and operational guidelines.
Monitoring Plant Health and Aesthetic Quality:
Conduct routine inspections to monitor the health of plants, shrubs, turf, and trees. Apply preventive care and corrective actions, including pest control, watering and seasonal pruning, to maintain the aesthetic appeal of landscapes.
Coordination with Contractors and Vendors:
Collaborate with landscape contractors on the ground, ensuring the work aligns with approved designs and airport standards.
Report any discrepancies in performance to Lead - Horticulture for timely resolution.
Irrigation and Equipment Management:
Ensure the proper functioning of irrigation systems and equipment through regular checks.
Coordinate with vendors for servicing or replacement of faulty tools to prevent any disruptions in operations.
Inventory and Resource Handling:
Monitor stock levels of horticultural supplies, including fertilizers, pesticides, and tools.
Ensure timely procurement to avoid shortages that could impact ongoing operations.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure landscape activities comply with environmental standards and airport regulations.
Maintain awareness of airport safety protocols and apply them during all horticultural tasks.
Collaboration:
Liaise with internal teams such as Operations, Safety, and Compliance to align landscape activities with airport operations.
Engage with contractors and vendors to ensure smooth collaboration and timely project delivery.
