8-10 Years of relevant experience in store and inventory management within the zipper manufacturing, apparel accessories, garment trims, textile, or related manufacturing industry.

Job Summary

The Store Incharge is responsible for managing the overall store operations, including receipt, storage, issuance, inventory control, stock accuracy, and material movement for raw materials, consumables, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished zipper products. The role ensures uninterrupted production through effective inventory management while maintaining inventory accuracy, compliance, and warehouse safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, semi-finished goods, finished goods, spare parts, and consumables.
  • Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment requests to prevent stock shortages.
  • Ensure proper material identification, binning, and storage practices.
  • Track inventory movement and maintain stock accuracy in ERP systems.




Materials Receipt & Dispatch

  • Verify incoming materials against purchase orders, delivery challans, and quality documents.
  • Coordinate with procurement, production, planning, and quality teams for timely receipt and issuance of materials.
  • Ensure proper documentation for all inward and outward material transactions.
  • Manage dispatch of finished zipper products as per customer requirements.

Warehouse Operations

  • Organize and optimize warehouse layout for efficient storage and retrieval.
  • Ensure FIFO, FEFO, and batch traceability practices are followed.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping and 5S standards within the store area.
  • Supervise loading, unloading, and material handling activities.

Inventory Control & Audits

  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical stock verification.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare inventory reports, stock aging reports, slow-moving and non-moving inventory analysis.
  • Support internal and external audits related to inventory and stores management.

Team Management

  • Lead and supervise store assistants, warehouse operators, and material handlers.
  • Allocate daily tasks and monitor team performance.
  • Train team members on inventory processes, safety practices, and ERP usage.

ERP & Documentation

  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry in ERP/MRP systems.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
  • Maintain records related to GRN, stock transfers, material requisitions, dispatch documents, and audit reports.




Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, inventory procedures, and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain safe storage conditions for materials and chemicals, if applicable.
  • Follow EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) guidelines and warehouse safety standards.

Key Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Management, or related field.
  • Diploma in Materials Management or Supply Chain Management preferred.

Experience

  • 8-10 years of experience in stores and inventory management in manufacturing industries.
  • Exposure to zipper manufacturing, apparel accessories, garments, textiles, trims, or related sectors will be preferred.
  • Experience in handling large-volume inventories and warehouse operations.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control methodologies.
  • Understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory reporting.
