Job Description
- Design and execute protein and molecular biology assays to support antibody development and validation programs. \n
- Meticulous experimental planning and execution to meet program goals. \n
- Timely record keeping of results into data sheets and laboratory note-books. \n
- Attention to detail and adherence to schedules. \n
- Communicate results clearly—in team meetings, written reports, and data presentations. \n
- Regular mining of literature and keeping oneself up to date with developments in field of antibody development. \n
- Troubleshoot technical challenges and propose practical solutions to keep projects moving. \n\n
- PhD (graduated within the last one year) \n
- Master's degree with 1-3 years of relevant research experience \n
- Experience in molecular biology, which could include nucleic acid extraction, PCR, and cloning. \n
- Experience with bioinformatics such as BLAST, pairwise and multiple sequence analysis, design and construction of expression vectors, codon optimization, PCR primer design. \n
- Experience with molecular biology software such as Snapgene, CLC Workbench or Geneious. Basic knowledge of computational biology, biological databases, or scripting is a plus. \n
- Prior experience in single cell molecular biology workflows, next generation sequencing and/or display technologies is desirable. \n
- Knowledge and experience in protein purification, immunoassays such as ELISA, Western Blotting, Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry or Flow cytometry, and cell culture techniques. Prior experience with protein or antibody conjugation will be a plus. \n
- Theoretical or practical experience in antibody development platforms is advantageous. \n
- Project or work experience such as publications, project reports or thesis work. \n
- Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, Power Point, Excel and strong statistical knowledge or familiarity with statistical software such as Graphpad Prism. \n
- Proficiency in Python, R, bioinformatics/computational biology and statistical tools like Pymol, Chimera, BLAST, Alphafold, ggplot etc. Proficiency in deep learning models and/or knowledge of large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and experience in implementing these tools to biological questions is highly desirable. \n
- Experience with website and/or database design using various platforms such as HTML, JavaScript, ShinyR, PowerApps etc would be advantageous. \n\n
- Self-motivated and a proactive self-starter with a strong drive for continuous learning and process/product improvement \n
- An excellent communicator-both written and oral-capable of clearly conveying findings to peers, collaborators, and leadership \n
- A collaborative team player who works effectively with diverse colleagues across functional and organizational boundaries \n
