\nHead Of Engineering is responsible for leading and scaling the engineering organization, driving technical strategy, ensuring high-quality product delivery, and building a high-performing engineering team. The role requires a balance of technical leadership, people management, and strategic execution to support the company s product and business goals.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nEngineering Leadership
\n- \n
- Lead, mentor, and scale multiple engineering teams including Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, and Developers. \n
- Establish engineering best practices, development standards, and operational excellence. \n
- Drive a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. \n
Technology Strategy
\n- \n
- Define and execute the technology roadmap aligned with business objectives. \n
- Evaluate and implement new technologies, frameworks, and tools. \n
- Ensure systems are scalable, reliable, secure, and high performing. \n
Delivery & Execution
\n- \n
- Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle (design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance). \n
- Ensure timely delivery of engineering projects with high quality. \n
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Data, and Business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions. \n
People Management
\n- \n
- Hire, develop, and retain top engineering talent. \n
- Build strong leadership pipelines within the engineering organization. \n
- Conduct performance management, coaching, and career development. \n
Operational Excellence
\n- \n
- Establish engineering metrics such as velocity, reliability, uptime, quality, and productivity. \n
- Drive improvements in DevOps, CI/CD, and automation. \n
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and coding standards. \n
Stakeholder Collaboration
\n- \n
- Work closely with executive leadership to align technology initiatives with company strategy. \n
- Communicate technical vision, progress, and risks to leadership. \n
- Partner with HR and Talent Acquisition on engineering hiring strategies. \n
Required Qualifications
\n- \n
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. \n
- 12 15+ years of experience in software engineering(Java fullstack / Golang) with 5 7 years in leadership roles. \n
- Proven experience managing large engineering teams and multiple engineering managers. \n
- Strong backend development expertise. \n
- Strong experience in system architecture, distributed systems, and scalable platforms. \n
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments. \n
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and modern development practices. \n
