Manager - Engineering - C++
Job Description
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of C++ Software Developers, Qas, Business Analyst. Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture and has accountability for their performance and results. Sets performance objectives, conducts performance reviews and recommends pay actions.
\nOversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
\nDefines a vision for the team in line with the department strategy and operational challenges and translates it into a concrete action plan. Works with a high level of autonomy, with some guidance from Senior Manager.
\nImplement and promote Agile methodologies within the team. Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
\nWork closely with Product Managers to understand requirements, prioritize tasks, and align development efforts with business goals.
\nProvide technical direction and support to the development team. Ensure best practices in coding, testing, and deployment are followed.
\nEnsure the delivery of high-quality software by implementing robust testing and code review processes.
\nEncourage continuous learning and improvement within the team. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
\nTechnical excellence:
\nTimely manage the investigation and resolution of production support issues and customer inquiries
\nCollaborate with other software development, architecture, solutions, and QA teams to ensure that software systems are designed for testability, stability, scalability, and performance.
\nProficiency in C++ with DB experience in a distributed environment. Good to have Cloud knowledge and exposure to other tech stack like Java, Python etc.
\nStrong understanding and experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
\nProven ability to lead and inspire a team. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
\nExperience working closely with Product Managers and other cross-functional teams.
\nCommunication:
\nEnsure timely and appropriate communication to team members regarding company/organization information
\nMaintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders, including Product Managers, designers, and other development teams.
