Position: Zonal Business Head - Sales

\n

Location: Ahmedabad

\n

Vertical: Sales

\n

Objective: We want engineers who sell engineering solutions into pharma plants and pharma machinery OEMs.

\n

Experience: 5-12 years

\n

Role Summary:

\n


\n You will lead the sales and business performance of your assigned zone, focusing on direct industrial customers across Pharma, Chemicals, Water Treatment, Food & Beverage, and similar sectors.Your primary responsibility is to protect, deepen, and grow key accounts, build customer trust, and deliver predictable, recurring revenue for the zone.
\n This is a hands-on, customer-facing leadership role that blends sales execution, team management, and application understanding.

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n


\n 1. Revenue Ownership

\n


\n  Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets for your zone.
\n  Grow business within existing and new key customers through consistent
\n engagement and value-based selling.
\n  Identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities across the customer’s process lines and
\n utilities.
\n  Maintain healthy margin discipline as per company guidelines.

\n


\n 2. Customer Relationship & Account Expansion

\n


\n  Build strong, long-term relationships with plant process & engineering, utility,
\n maintenance, and procurement teams.
\n  Conduct regular customer visits to strengthen trust and ensure retention.
\n  Drive repeat business by solving customer issues proactively and ensuring
\n reliable supply.
\n  Understand customer pain points and recommend suitable filtration solutions.

\n


\n 3. Team Leadership & Performance Management

\n


\n  Lead a small team of Area Sales Executives.
\n  Set clear KPIs, review day-to-day performance, and enforce CRM discipline.
\n  Coach the team on customer follow-ups, product knowledge, and sales hygiene.
\n  Drive a culture of accountability, customer obsession, and predictable
\n execution.

\n

4. Technical & Application Understanding

\n


\n  Learn filtration basics (DP, flow, micron rating, chemistry-media behaviour) and
\n apply them in customer discussions.
\n  Liaise with the company’s technical support team for trials, testing, and applicationspecific
\n queries.
\n  Conduct basic product demos and technical presentations when required.

\n


\n 5. Operations, Planning & Coordination

\n


\n  Work closely with production, dispatch, warehouse, and logistics to ensure
\n timely deliveries.
\n  Forecast zonal demand accurately and maintain visibility of open orders.
\n  Track ageing, collections, stock levels, and dispatch planning for your zone.
\n  Maintain clean documentation and reporting for management reviews.

\n

6. Reporting & MIS Discipline

\n


\n  Submit weekly and monthly reports including funnel status, customer activity,
\n revenue forecasts, and key actions.
\n  Maintain accurate CRM entries and ensure team compliance.
\n  Provide clear insight into customer health (growing, stable, declining).

\n


\n Required Experience

\n


\n  8-12 years in B2B industrial sales, preferably in:

\n


\n A) Industrial consumables (valves, pumps, pipes)
\n B) Water treatment equipment/consumables
\n C) Pharma equipment/utility solutions
\n D) Chemical/process equipment
\n G) Or any strong B2B background with excellent sales leadership capability

\n


\n  Experience managing a small sales team and handling direct industrial
\n customers.
\n  Strong relationship-building ability with plant-level stakeholders.
\n  Hands-on field sales experience with regular travel.

\n

Education

\n


\n  Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/chemical engineering (preferred, not
\n mandatory).
\n  MBA in Sales/Marketing is an advantage.

\n
