Job Description

This role is for an engineer who would take care of design and development
\n of Lighting systems and optics for electric two wheeler projects.
\n Design and development of Lighting and optics for various vehicle
\n platforms eg. Head Lamp , Tail lamp , Indicators etc.
\n Testing and Validation of systems designed and interactions between
\n them by understanding the vehicle architecture.
\n Design and Development of prototypes meeting stringent aesthetics
\n and functional requirements
\n Ensuring manufacturability of lighting components and drive quality
\n controls.
\n Reviewing Tools, Jigs, Fixtures and End of Line test equipment at
\n supplier locations.
\n Responsible for Electromechanical Interaction and Impact Analysis and
\n Tolerance stack-up.
\n Coordinate & execute testing including Thermals, Sealing, Vibration,
\n Shock, and structural tests across 3D Printed prototypes , off the tool &
\n process samples and DVT of Lights.
\n Participate in and contribute to DFMEA, DFM, DFA, DFC, DFS, DFR,
\n and component selection/derating reviews carry out RCA on field
\n failures and implement/recommend CAPA.
\n Participate in regulatory tests such as UL, ARAI, BIS, IEC standards for
\n electrical/electronic assemblies.
\n Problem solving using industry best practices such as 5-Why analysis,
\n Fishbone diagram, RCA methodologies etc.
\n Project execution following PMP, Agile methodologies.
\n Work with cross functional teams to execute upon Lighting projects
\n with complete ownership of the tasks assigned.
\n Here s what we are looking for:
\n Experience in designing complex automotive lamps with challenging
\n aesthetic requirements.
\n Experience in material selection , manufacturing process for Plastics,
\n sheet metal and casting.
\n Good knowledge on regulatory standards of automotive lighting
\n Advanced knowledge in fasteners, inserts, surface treatment
\n methodologies, and engineering plastics used for electronic
\n packaging and vehicle peripherals.
\n Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing, generation of
\n First Article Report (FAR).
\n Knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA, AFMEA DFM, DFA, DFC, DFR, DFS,
\n Poka-Yoke methods and techniques, sealing and venting mechanisms.
\n Experience of working in at least one complete product
\n development life cycle.
\n Knowledge on APQP, PFEMA, and basics of tool design will be
\n an added advantage .
\n Exposure to PPAP and Supplier quality audits .
\n Understanding of electronics components will be an added
\n advantage.
\n Exposure to PCBA interaction and packaging of the same in an
\n enclosure considering the power dissipation, EMI/EMC
\n requirements.
\n Knowledge on Thermal design including interface materials and
\n simulation will be an added advantage.
\n Experience with working on SW tools such as Catia , NX ,
\n SOLIDWORKS, PLM Tools (Teamcenter, JIRA etc..), FMEA tools,
\n Pugh Matrix and Basic understanding of CAE tools such as
\n Ansys Speos, Lucid Shape etc.
\n Understanding of Arduino Programming will be an added
\n advantage.
\n A good team player with interpersonal planning and good
\n communication skills.
