Job Description
Client: A Leading Business Conglomerate in India
\nKey Responsibilities:
\n1. Strategic Supply Chain Leadership
\nDevelop and execute long-term supply chain strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
\nAlign supply chain objectives with business goals, ensuring scalability and sustainability.
\nDrive digital transformation (e.g., ERP, AI, IoT, blockchain) to optimize demand forecasting, inventory management, and logistics.
\n2. Procurement & Supplier Management
\nOversee strategic sourcing, supplier selection, and contract negotiations for raw materials, equipment, and services.
\nEnsure cost optimization while maintaining quality, compliance, and ethical sourcing standards.
\nImplement supplier risk management and diversification strategies to mitigate disruptions.
\n3. Logistics & Distribution Optimization
\nLead end-to-end logistics operations, including inbound/outbound transportation, warehousing, and last-mile delivery.
\nOptimize inventory control to balance working capital and service levels.
\nLeverage data analytics for route optimization, freight cost reduction, and sustainability initiatives.
\n4. Operational Excellence & Cost Control
\nImplement Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate waste and improve process efficiency.
\nMonitor KPIs (OTIF, inventory turns, procurement savings) and drive continuous improvement.
\nManage budgets, cost models, and hedging strategies for commodity price fluctuations.
\n5. Risk Management & Compliance
\nDevelop business continuity plans to address supply chain disruptions (geopolitical, natural disasters, supplier failures).
\nEnsure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards (e.g., ISO, OSHA), and ESG commitments.
\n6. Stakeholder Collaboration
\nPartner with Production, Sales, Finance, and R&D to align supply chain strategies with business needs.

\n7. Team Leadership & Development
\nBuild and mentor a high-performing SCM team, fostering innovation and accountability.
\nPromote a culture of collaboration, agility, and data-driven decision-making.
\nDesired Skills & Competencies:
\nIn-depth knowledge of global supply chain trends, trade regulations, and tariffs.
\nKnowledge of different markets/continents like US, Middle east, Austria, etc. their norms, legal requirements, vendor base.
\nExperience in ERP/SAP implementation and automation (e.g., robotic process automation).
\nFamiliarity with hedging strategies for raw material price volatility (e.g., copper, aluminium).
\nCertification in CSCP (APICS), CPIM, or Lean Six Sigma is a plus.
