Sr,.Design Engineer- Blast

The Blast Resistant Design & Simulation Engineer for the analysis, design, and evaluation of structures subjected to blast loads. The role involves performing advanced numerical simulations, developing blast-resistant structural systems, and ensuring compliance with international standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform blast load calculations (TNT equivalency, scaled distance, reflected pressure, impulse).

• Conduct blast simulations using software such as:ANSYS AutodynLS-DYNAABAQUSSAP2000 / ETABS (for structural response checks)
\n
• Design blast-resistant:Reinforced concrete structuresSteel structuresUG bunkers and tunnelsAmmunition storage facilities
\n
• Develop Single degree of freedom (SDOF) models for dynamic response analysis.
\n
• Evaluate structural performance based on:Ductility ratiosSupport rotation
\n
• Prepare Detailed engineering reports and technical documentation.
\n
• Review and interpret project specifications related to explosion loads.
\n
• Ensure compliance with standards such as:UFC 3-340-02TM manualIATG guidelinesASCE blast provisions

Participate in design reviews and client meetings.
