Job Description
- Oversee the procurement for O&M of Renewable Energy Plants \n
- Ensure seamless operations, cost optimisation \n\n
- Lead and manage procurement activities supporting Operations & Maintenance for renewable energy assets. \n
- Execute end-to-end procurement for Solar and Wind O&M requirements, including spares, consumables, and service contracts. \n
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for MRO materials to ensure asset availability and minimize downtime. \n
- Manage supplier prequalification, RFQs/RFPs, techno-commercial evaluations, negotiations, and contract finalization in line with company policies. \n
- Negotiate and administer AMCs, LTSAs, SLAs, service contracts, and framework agreements to ensure cost efficiency and service reliability. \n
- Build, maintain, and strengthen a robust vendor base; drive vendor development and performance improvement initiatives. \n
- Collaborate closely with O&M, Engineering, Planning, Finance, and HSE teams to forecast demand and manage critical spares inventory. \n
- Monitor supplier KPIs, delivery timelines, quality performance, and contractual compliance; implement corrective actions as required. \n
- Conduct spend analysis and identify opportunities for cost reduction, value engineering, and procurement optimization. \n
- Ensure adherence to HSE standards, quality requirements, statutory regulations, and corporate governance policies. \n
- Support audits and internal controls related to procurement and contracts. \n\n
- Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) from a reputed institution \n
- 15+ years of experience in procurement, with significant exposure to O&M procurement \n
- Experience in Solar and Wind energy sector preferred \n
- Strong knowledge of O&M procurement for renewable energy assets \n
- Expertise in strategic sourcing and vendor management \n
- Proven experience in contract negotiation and administration \n
- Strong understanding of spares, MRO, and critical equipment management \n
- Cost optimization, value engineering, and spend analysis capability \n
- Knowledge of HSE, compliance, and governance frameworks \n
- Stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration \n
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills \n
- ERP systems: SAP MM \n
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel \n
- Contract management and spend analysis tools \n
- Align it to a specific company or EPC/O&M model
