- Manage, train, and motivate all personnel reporting to this position. \n
- Administration and implementation of staff training in all aspects of the security’s operations i.e. business telephone usage, guest relations, security services, retail sales etc. \n
- Serve as a link between the hotel and the security industry. \n
- Performance management discussions as required. \n
- Conduct developmental discussions/performance reviews with individuals who directly report to Security Director. \n
- Ensure that weekly/monthly departmental communication meetings are effective. \n
- Responsible for supervising all aspects of Colleagues, i.e. recognition, progressive corrective action, etc. \n
- Responsible for the efficient training of all Colleagues in all aspects of job tasks. \n
- Responsible for all security department’s emergency training. \n
- Ensure Colleagues adhere to all security standards as stated in the employee handbook. \n
- Responsible in the recognition, training, appraisals and progressive correction of all recreation team members. This includes interviews when applicable \n
- Follow and ensure that all Colleagues follow all safety procedures and practices, lead by example. \n
- Ensure that the security department maintains a positive relationship internally and with all departments in the hotel. \n
- Effective colleague communication and welfare for new and existing staff as well as other departments at the property and corporate teams \n
- Available for Colleague and Manager inquiries. \n
- Facility walk-through to have a visual presence within the department for all security staff. \n
- Ensure individual is well versed in all aspects of the security's operations, i.e. business telephone usage, guest relations, retail sales, security services. \n
- Ensure the security is receiving the highest ratings from the TrustYou VOG scores as well as LQA / Forbes guest satisfaction and is a priority at all times \n
- Be present in daily operations to oversee the success of the guest and colleague experience, including daily walk-throughs to assess quality. \n
