Chartered Account (CA) Finance & Compliance
Job Description
This role is for one of the Weekday's clients
\nSalary range: Rs - Rs (ie INR 12-15 LPA)
\nMin Experience: 2+ years
\nLocation: Bangalore
\nJobType: full-time
\nWe are seeking a detail-oriented, ownership-driven Chartered Accountant to take full responsibility for finance, compliance, and reporting across our entities. This role involves building processes from the ground up rather than maintaining existing ones: you will design financial procedures and controls that enable rapid operations without sacrificing compliance, and bring in-house tasks currently managed by external consultants. You should be comfortable handling complexity—managing funds across multiple entities and adapting revenue streams from subscriptions today to transaction- and brokerage-based flows in the future. We value individuals who prioritize execution and research over high-level strategy, can adapt to evolving regulations, and quickly find effective solutions.
\nRequirements
\nKey Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Maintain accurate accounting records and balance sheets for all entities, including the parent company and subsidiaries. \n
- Ensure real-time updates in Tally and proper management of ledgers. \n
- Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, vendors, inter-company transactions, and platform-related activities. \n
- Oversee the payment and filing of TDS, GST, and Professional Tax (PT). \n
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements across entities, including SEBI-related obligations. \n
- Manage Provident Fund (PF), gratuity calculations, and enforce compliance. \n
- Conduct regular compliance audits to prevent penalties or compliance failures. \n

- Ensure timely TDS deductions and related payroll filings. \n
- Assist employees with tax-related inquiries as needed. \n
- Monitor and reconcile subscription revenue streams across different platforms. \n
- Account for and track interest income from liquid funds and money market instruments. \n
- Manage cash flow movements between accounts and entities efficiently. \n
- Ensure proper revenue recognition in compliance with applicable accounting standards. \n
- Prepare monthly Management Information System (MIS) reports, including Profit & Loss statements, cash flow reports, and variance analyses. \n
- Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts and budgets. \n
- Provide financial insights to founders to support decision-making processes. \n
- Assist with scenario planning to support business scaling. \n
- Handle accounting and compliance activities for both parent and subsidiary companies. \n
- Manage inter-company transactions, reconciliations, and reporting. \n
- Ensure clean and compliant financial structuring for the transfer of funds across entities. \n
- Oversee vendor negotiations, payments, invoicing, and expense tracking. \n
- Implement and enhance financial controls and procedures. \n
- Collaborate closely with operations and product teams to align financial processes. \n
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities. \n
- Support statutory audits, tax audits, and due diligence efforts. \n
- Maintain documented records and ensure audit readiness at all times. \n

\n- \n
- Qualified Chartered Accountant or semi-qualified CA with substantial relevant hands-on experience. \n
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience, preferably over 3 years dealing with complex multi-entity structures (experience in consultancy or startups is highly valued). \n
- Comfortable managing multi-entity finance operations and inter-company fund movements. \n
- Strong knowledge of Indian taxation, compliance requirements, and corporate law. \n
- Proficient with Tally and modern accounting software tools. \n
- Adaptable, research-oriented, and able to keep pace with changing regulations rather than relying on traditional methods. \n
