The Principal Officer will oversee the overall activities of the Fund Management Entity (FME) including but not

\n

limited to fund management, risk management and compliance at GIFT City, Gandhinagar. The position

\n

requires strong leadership and governance capabilities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, risk

\n

management policies, and fund management activities.

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

1. Governance and Leadership

\n

o Serve as the Principal Officer and lead the GIFT City office of the FME.

\n

o Act as part of the Investment Committee, ensuring robust governance structures for fund

\n

management.

\n

o Build and implement efficient processes and systems for smooth operations.

\n

o Lead and facilitate interactions with the Board, Audit Committee, and other committees.

\n

2. Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management

\n

o Collaborate with SEZ, IFSCA, and other stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance.

\n

o Assess regulatory changes and proactively mitigate potential risks.

\n

o Work closely with the Compliance and Risk Manager to review and ensure timely and accurate

\n

submissions of regulatory filings.

\n

3. Operational and Strategic Initiatives

\n

o Run projects related to Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) and other product launches.

\n

o Oversee portfolio composition proposals initiated by the GIFT City office.

\n

o Drive innovation in fund operations and explore opportunities for business growth.

\n

4. People Management

\n

o Ensure the recruitment and development of personnel appropriate to the scale of operations.

\n

o Appoint and manage Key Managerial Personnel (KMPs) as per regulatory requirements.

\n

Qualifications and Experience

\n

%CF; Educational Qualifications:

\n

o Chartered Accountant (CA), Company Secretary (CS), or MBA in Finance/Investment/Operations.

\n

o Professional qualification or a postgraduate degree/diploma (minimum two years) in finance, law,

\n

accountancy, business management, commerce, economics, capital markets, or related fields.

\n

o Certifications such as NISM (Modules IIB, VII, VIII, XA & XB) are preferred.

\n

%CF; Experience:

\n

o Minimum of 5 years in securities markets or financial products, including roles such as portfolio

\n

manager, broker-dealer, investment advisor, wealth manager, research analyst, or fund management.

\n

o Proven track record in operations, compliance, and client servicing within the equity, mutual funds,

\n

and capital markets domain.

\n

o Experience in fintech or mobile app development will be an added advantage.
