Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management \n

  • Drive a strong safety-first culture and promote zero-incident operations.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the plant operations team.
  • \n
  • Ensure effective manpower planning, workforce utilization, and succession readiness.
  • \n
  • Build a collaborative work culture focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • \n
  • Empower teams for effective decision-making during operational emergencies.
  • \n
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration across operations, maintenance, quality, and projects.
  • \n
Plant Operations \n
    \n
  • Oversee daily plant operations to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted production.
  • \n
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards, statutory regulations, and operational procedures.
  • \n
  • Monitor plant performance, productivity, and operational KPIs.
  • \n
  • Plan resources including manpower, utilities, and assets to meet current and future business demand.
  • \n
  • Drive implementation of corrective actions arising from audits, RCA, directives, and safety observations.
  • \n
  • Ensure effective implementation of IMS systems including:
  • \n
  • ISO 9001:2015
  • \n
  • ISO 14001:2015
  • \n
  • ISO 45001:2018
  • \n
Safety, Quality & Compliance \n
    \n
  • Ensure adherence to all safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • \n
  • Conduct risk assessments, toolbox talks, and safety audits regularly.
  • \n
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • \n
  • Develop and maintain emergency response and contingency plans.
  • \n
  • Ensure statutory compliance with all regulatory and local authority requirements.
  • \n
  • Establish and maintain systems for product quality monitoring and control.
  • \n
Maintenance & Reliability \n
    \n
  • Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance practices are effectively implemented.
  • \n
  • Manage mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation maintenance activities.
  • \n
  • Plan shutdowns, turnarounds, and equipment upgrades.
  • \n
  • Control repair and maintenance budgets effectively.
  • \n
  • Ensure availability of spares, maintenance tools, and resources.
  • \n
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for maintenance support.
  • \n
Projects & Modifications \n
    \n
  • Initiate and execute plant improvement and expansion projects.
  • \n
  • Support modifications and optimization initiatives to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • \n
  • Ensure projects are completed within quality, cost, and timeline expectations.
  • \n
  • Provide operational inputs and technical support for new installations and upgrades.
  • \n
Troubleshooting & Performance Management \n
    \n
  • Handle operational breakdowns and critical troubleshooting activities.
  • \n
  • Lead root cause failure analysis and implementation of preventive measures.
  • \n
  • Monitor operational KPIs and plant performance metrics.
  • \n
  • Report incidents, near misses, hazards, and corrective action status regularly.
  • \n
Required Skills & Competencies \n
    \n
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • \n
  • Expertise in plant operations within Industrial Gases / Petrochemical / Manufacturing industries.
  • \n
  • Strong knowledge of safety systems and statutory compliance.
  • \n
  • Experience in maintenance management (Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation).
  • \n
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting, turnaround planning, and project execution.
  • \n
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • \n
  • Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • \n
  • Proficiency in computer applications and reporting tools.
  • \n
