POSITION SUMMARY

\n
    \n
  • ​​ Senior Structural Engineer develops design of structural project documentation to satisfy all required inputs and requirements and to produce safe, reliable, functional, and economical construction.
  • \n
  • Senior Structural Engineer develops structural design of modular steel structures of moderate to high complexity. Senior Structural engineer works on complex structural calculations, steel structure workshop documentation, lifting and transport drawings, anchoring layouts, and technical specifications, develops new skills and knowledge through internal and external education, manages and coordinates work of other structural engineering team members. If needed senior structural engineer participates as design engineer in Vertiv R&D projects.

  • Handles one or multiple projects and also does cross functional communication in project work.
  • \n
  • Engineer with Data Center Projects experience/background or similar Critical Infrastructure experience preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

\n
    \n
  • Developing of project conceptual and detailed design
  • \n
  • Based on input data (information, requirements, standards), development of structural project documentation: static calculations, dynamic calculations, structural 3D model design, detail drawings, descriptions, instructions, material submittals, presentations, and marketing materials etc.
  • \n
  • During design follow and take into consideration international, national and company standards and good engineering practices
  • \n
  • Use knowledge and experience to fulfill requirements given by project tasks
  • \n
  • Participating in kick-off meeting, regular project team meetings, and on-site coordination meetings
  • \n
  • Reporting project status to Project Team Leader
  • \n
  • Proactive cooperation with all team members during project execution
  • \n
  • Initiating RFI („Request for Information “) in cases where additional clarification is needed
  • \n
  • Development of defined documents according to Document list (DLIST)
  • \n
  • Development of workshop documentation
  • \n
  • Verification and approval of workshop documentation developed by subcontractors
  • \n
  • Specifying Bill of Material and services required for project execution
  • \n
  • Specification of necessary certificates for materials needed to be ordered
  • \n
  • Supporting suppliers with additional information during bidding phase of sourcing (offer submitting)
  • \n
  • Providing technical approval for received supplier offers
  • \n
  • Providing technical support to subcontractors and installers during production/assembly
  • \n
  • Cooperation with Manufacturing and Site deployment engineering team
  • \n
  • Cooperation with Site Manager during assembly, providing technical solutions to raised issues
  • \n
  • Cooperation with Quality Control during quality control of components/systems and assembly on Site
  • \n
  • Cooperation with Commissioning engineer on testing documentation development
  • \n
  • Participation on internal testing and FAT
  • \n

  • Review and approval of outsourced structural design documentation
  • \n
  • Approve or reject technically received supplier offer
  • \n
  • Approve or reject suggested changes by subcontractor on approved workshop documentation
  • \n

QUALIFICATIONS

\n
    \n
  • OR ME/Mtech – Civil/Mechanical Engineering
  • \n
  • 6+ years of experience (preferred experience in Steel Structures Design)
  • \n
  • English language – fluent
  • \n
  • Software – Tekla, Revit, AutoCAD, Staad Pro, IDEA StatiCa, MS Office, Anchoring design /Hilti Profis software, Fire design software
  • \n
  • Soft skills: independent, attention to details, problem solving, organization, creativity, teamwork, flexible, hard working, managing and coordinating other project assigned structural engineers
  • \n
  • Codal exposure to IS, EN & American region.
  • \n
\n
