Talend Architect – Job Description

The Talend Architect at Unison Group will be responsible for designing and implementing robust, scalable, and high-performance data integration solutions using Talend. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders, data engineers, and architects to build end-to-end data pipelines that meet organizational data needs.

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of Talend-based ETL/ELT solutions.

• Develop scalable and maintainable data integration workflows to support business intelligence and analytics.

• Define best practices and standards for Talend development and deployment within the organization.
\n
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design appropriate solutions.
\n
• Ensure data quality, data governance, and security compliance across data integration solutions.
\n
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to Talend developers.
\n
• Optimize Talend jobs and workflows for performance and resource utilization.
\n
• Participate in evaluating and integrating new data integration tools and technologies when necessary.
\n
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of Talend architecture and data flows.
\n

Requirements

\n
• 7+ years of experience in data integration and ETL development with a strong focus on Talend (Talend Data Integration, Talend Open Studio).
\n
• Proven expertise in designing and architecting Talend-based data integration solutions.
\n
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and best practices.
\n
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.).
\n
• Experience with data quality, data governance, and metadata management practices.
\n
• Good understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies is a plus.
\n
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
\n
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities to collaborate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
