  • Lead the complete commercial agenda across West, South & Central Africa, covering markets such as Ghana, Congo, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Nigeria.
  • \n
  • Develop and execute growth strategies based on local market insights, competitor intelligence, and emerging category opportunities.
  • \n
  • Drive financial discipline, governance, and adherence to commercial policies across all operating markets.
  • \n
  • Ensure excellence in operations, including systems, processes, business modules, and organisational ways of working.
  • \n
  • Coach, mentor, and upskill Area Managers and field teams to enhance capability and raise performance benchmarks.
  • \n
  • Expand distribution, strengthen channel relationships, and identify new business development opportunities.
  • \n
  • Partner cross‑functionally with supply chain, marketing, and product teams to deliver regional growth plans effectively.
  • \n
  • Oversee a team of six Area Managers and ensure high‑quality execution across diverse geographies.
  • \n

    The Successful Applicant

    \n

    \n

    A successful Zonal Head - West, South & Central Africa should have:

    \n
  • 12-15 years of relevant experience in Sales, Marketing, and Business Development.
  • \n
  • Prior experience in Africa or significant exposure to international markets, preferably in emerging economies.
  • \n
  • Industry background in paint, construction chemicals, hardware, or specialty chemicals is preferred.
  • \n
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage remote and multicultural teams.
  • \n
  • Proven track record of driving commercial growth and operational excellence.
  • \n
  • High adaptability, resilience, and ability to operate in dynamic, complex environments.
  • \n
  • Strong analytical, planning, and financial management capabilities.
