\n\nAs the AI lead, you will be responsible for -
\n * Define and execute the AI / GenAI strategy for Operations, Risk, Underwriting & Claims, and Customer Service functions.
\n * Partner with business heads to identify high-value GenAI use cases and prioritize by ROI, speed-to-value and regulatory sensitivity.
\n * Act as the chief evangelist for Generative AI - educate stakeholders, run pilots, and drive scaled adoption while ensuring safety and compliance.
\n * Establish robust frameworks to track and communicate the value and ROI of AI initiatives to all stakeholders.
\n * Lead design and delivery of AI / GenAI solutions and own technical decisions on model selection, fine-tuning, RAG/embedding architectures, etc.
\n * Ensure deployed solutions are production-grade and integrated within existing workflows / systems.
\n * Work with Legal, Compliance and Risk to ensure IRDAI/regulatory expectations are met for model use and customer interactions.
\n * Build and manage external relationships with various cross-industry/ academia forums for outside in perspective, seeking new and innovative approaches and to showcase our learnings.
\n * Mentor & guide the team in executing the projects end to end including conceptualization, development, implementation and continuous monitoring.
\n * Build and nurture a strong team to become next generation business focused problem solvers, with strong culture of solution delivery, continuous learning and experimentation.
The Successful Applicant
\n\nAs a successful candidate, you should have -
\n * Ability to form partnerships with functional leaders.
\n * Improvement in operational efficiencies of functions supported. Showcase actual business benefit from implemented AI/ML solutions.
\n * Number of AI/GenAI use case implementation
\n * Key people metrics - capability, engagement, attrition.
\n * Master's or PhD in a quantitative discipline (CS, ML/AI, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Econometrics or equivalent).
\n * 15 or more years of experience in AI/ML with 7+ years in senior leadership roles building AI/ML programs; demonstrated experience in insurance/financial services strongly preferred.
\n * Proven track record of developing and deploying AI/ML solutions in BFSI sector.
\n * Deep expertise in AI/ML model development and deployment.
\n * Practical, demonstrable work experience in Generative AI / LLMs - model fine-tuning, prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, LLMOps and hallucination/bias controls.
\n * End-to-end delivery experience: data engineering, feature engineering, model development, containerised deployment (microservices), CI/CD, monitoring and model lifecycle management.
\n * Proficiency in python, ML frameworks and MLOPs practices.
\n * Strong understanding of data architecture, data pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
\n * Passion for continuous learning and thought leadership in AI.
\n * Excellent stakeholder management, communication and executive presence.
