Job Description
- Coordination with Internally project team and Client (Quality Aspects). \n
- Understanding customer needs, Contract, and other requirements to develop effective quality control processes. \n
- ISO requirements and impletion as per project requirement. \n
- Develop, implement, and oversee the Project Quality Management Plan (QMP) to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards. \n
- Review client specification, tender documents and quality related clauses. \n
- Develop project specific Quality Management Plan tailored to the tender. \n
- Provide input on organization structure staffing, R&R and quality resourcing. \n
- Support the procurement team with quality criteria in vendor prequalification support construction planning with constructability and inspection strategies. \n
- Provide quality related cost estimates (manpower, inspection/testing, third party involvement etc.) \n
- Respond to client quality related queries or clarification during the tender evaluation phase. \n
- Setting requirements for products and equipment’s for suppliers and monitoring their compliance. \n
- Organizing Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and receipt inspection at Warehouse. \n
- Liaise with third party inspectors as per requirement Supervise inspectors, technicians, other staffs and provide guidance and feedback. \n
- Oversee all product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards Inspect final output and compare properties to requirements. \n
- Approve the right products or reject defectives Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis and effective presentation for management review (project and HO level). \n
- Solicit feedback from customers to assess whether their requirements are met. \n
- Be on the lookout for opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. \n
- Independently determine approach and assigned tasks. \n
- Understanding the MIS system for regular monitoring, control and reporting. \n
- Implementing: - training plan & training to be given to site colleagues, work at site as per requirement & recommended / required IS /IEC codes. \n
- Coordination with external auditor and conducting internal audits and inspection. \n
- Conduct regular audits to verify compliance with quality assurance systems and prepare audit reports for management. \n
- Establish stage-wise inspection protocols, quality control procedures, and testing schedules for all civil and electrical activities. \n
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure quality standards are integrated throughout the project lifecycle. \n
- Analyze and address non-conformities by implementing Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA). \n
- Oversee quality assurance and control during the construction of foundations, structural components, buildings, cable trenches, and roads within the substation premises. \n
- Monitor concrete quality, reinforcement installation, curing processes, and other critical civil construction activities to meet design and technical specifications. \n
- Ensure earthworks, leveling, and compaction meet geotechnical requirements and approved drawings. \n
- Verify compliance of civil construction materials (e.g., aggregates, cement, steel) with relevant standards. \n
- Conduct regular site inspections and supervise testing (e.g., slump test, cube strength test, soil compaction test). \n
- Ensure proper installation and testing of electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, GIS/AIS equipment, control panels, and protection systems. \n
- Monitor cable laying, termination, and testing (e.g., HiPot, megger testing) to ensure compliance with standards. \n
- Verify earthing and lightning protection system installations meet design requirements and safety standards. \n
- Oversee testing and commissioning activities, including relay testing, insulation resistance testing, and functional checks of electrical systems. \n
- Ensure all electrical equipment and components conform to manufacturer specifications, project requirements, and relevant standards (e.g., IS, IEC).
