\nPosition Summary:
\nWe are seeking an experienced Automotive R&D professional with 3-5 years of industry expertise to design EV powertrain components, casings, Motor-transmission cooling system, and EV components mechanical architecture. As an Automotive R&D Manager, you will play a pivotal role in creating innovative concepts, designing cutting-edge solutions, and enhancing the performance of our automotive EV products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and develop new technologies that will shape the future of our products.
\nRoles:
\n- Design and manage the EV powertrain functions for 2 and 3 Wheelers, providing technical solutions and mentorship. \n
- Define and oversee the development of new automotive technologies, ensuring alignment with company goals and industry trends. \n
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and production teams to translate innovative ideas into feasible prototypes and products. \n
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify potential improvements in vehicle performance, safety, efficiency. \n
- Stay updated with emerging trends, breakthroughs, and advancements in the automotive industry, incorporating relevant findings into R&D efforts. \n
- Lead the documentation of design specifications, Design releases and testing results for internal reference and potential patent applications. \n
- Strong knowledge of Automotive EV powertrain components and emerging technologies. \n
- Proficiency in designing and 3D modelling of Casings and PDC process knowledge. \n
- Experience in designing EV powertrain components as motor and MCU casings, knowledge of cooling systems, and validating the same. \n
- Knowledge of simulations tool like Hypermesh and ANSYS. \n
- Experience in designing lubrication system and flow estimation. Know-how of seal materials, sealing applications, seal selection for IP67 compliance and their quality standards. \n
- Knowledge of Motor-Drivetrain and MCU integration and resolution of DFA related issue and good understanding of DFM, DFA, DFS. Coordination with different stakeholders. \n
- Component wise evaluation procedures, methods, test equipment’s and interpreting results of Cooling and Lubricating System, Casings validation. \n
- Effective communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. \n
- Technical documentation writeup as DFMEA, DRBFM, Testing Standards, Validation reports. Know-how of product development processes as DoE, VA/VE. \n
- Proven problem-solving abilities and a creative mindset for innovative solutions. \n
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications:
\nMinimum 3 years of experience in Automotive R&D, with a proven track record of creating innovating design from concept to implementation of Motor/ MCU mechanical architecture, Casings and cooling system.
