Credit Review Consultant - Sr

The Credit Review Senior Consultant will work within the Credit Review team, serving as a third line of defense. The team independently verifies and validates credit underwriting and lending processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and external standards. The role requires a deep understanding of the credit lifecycle, including acquisition, customer management, and collections, as well as a high-level comprehension of P&L and risk concepts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Credit Underwriting and Lending Review:
\n
• Independently review and validate credit underwriting and lending practices.
\n
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
\n
• Collaborate with the first and second lines of defense to gather necessary information and validate methodologies.
\n
• Quarterly Reviews and Monitoring:
\n
• Conduct ongoing quarterly reviews of credit portfolios and risk assessments.
\n
• Monitor credit risk metrics and report findings to senior management.
\n
• Identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions.
\n
• Internal Audit (IA) Examinations:
\n
• Assist in responding to IA examinations conducted by regulators and external auditors
\n
• Collect, analyze, and summarize data to support audit responses.
\n
• Prepare documentation, including data reports, presentations, and summaries, for audit purposes.
\n

Desired Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

\n
• Experience:
\n
• 6+ years of relevant experience in Analytics and Data Science with an in-depth exposure in Banking domain
\n
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in application of statistical analysis
\n
• Proven experience in credit underwriting, lending, and risk management.
\n
• Familiarity with the entire credit lifecycle, including acquisition, customer management, and collections.
\n
• Experience in internal audit, credit reviews, or similar roles, particularly in financial institutions or consulting firms
\n
• Technical Skills:
\n
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, PySpark, and Snowflake SQL.
\n
• Experience with Databricks for running Python notebooks and data analysis.
\n
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
\n

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in conducting independent reviews and audits.

• Understanding of internal audit methodologies and regulatory requirements.

• Experience working with risk management frameworks and tools.
