The Role:
\n We're looking for a Junior Python AI Engineer who thrives at the intersection of backend systems and applied AI. You'll help design and build core services that power our AI travel planner—everything from real-time itinerary generation to intelligent API orchestration and semantic search. You'll work with LLMs, LangGraph, and FastAPI to create a magical planning experience for modern travelers.

What You'll Do:

• Build and scale microservices using Python and FastAPI
\n
• Implement LangGraph-based agents for travel planning workflows.
\n
• Integrate LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude, etc.) for real-world use cases like itinerary generation and smart conversations.
\n
• Design tool-calling systems that safely interact with our flight, hotel, and activity APIs.
\n
• Develop semantic search features using embedding models and vector databases.
\n
• Create orchestration layers that support multi-step travel operations (search → plan → book)
\n
• Collaborate with AI engineers, product managers, and designers to ship user-facing features quickly.
\n
• Optimize performance and reliability of real-time systems.
\n
• Write clean, modular code and own core components of the platform.

What We're Looking For:

\n
• 1-3 years of software engineering experience, ideally in product/startup environments
\n
• Strong knowledge of Python , FastAPI , and RESTful APIs
\n
• Working knowledge of LLMs , LangGraph , and prompt orchestration
\n
• Experience with semantic search , embeddings , and vector databases (e.g., Chroma, Weaviate)
\n
• Comfort with async programming, API integration, and real-time systems
\n
• Strong problem-solving skills and product intuition
\n
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ownership-driven environment
\n

Nice to Have:

\n
• Experience building agents or multi-step workflows with LangChain/LangGraph
\n
• Familiarity with travel APIs (flights, hotels, activities)
\n
• Understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems
\n
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), Docker, and CI/CD pipelines
