Deputy General Manager (DGM)- Production / Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities

Production & Operations

Oversee daily manufacturing operations of tube bundles.

Ensure achievement of production targets, schedules, and delivery commitments.

Drive lean manufacturing, productivity improvement, and waste reduction initiatives.

Monitor shop-floor performance and resolve production bottlenecks.

Quality Assurance

Ensure compliance with ASME, ISO, and other applicable industry standards.

Reduce defects, rework, and customer complaints through robust quality systems.

Coordinate with QA/QC teams for root cause analysis and corrective actions.

People Management

Lead and manage large teams across production, maintenance, and support functions.

Handle manpower planning, training, skill development, and performance appraisals.

Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement culture.

Safety & Compliance

Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Drive safety audits, training programs, and incident investigations.

Promote a strong safety-first culture on the shop floor.

Cost & Resource Management

Optimize utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.

Monitor manufacturing costs, budgets, and profitability.

Implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce breakdowns and downtime.

Strategic & Improvement Initiatives

Identify opportunities for automation and technology upgrades.

Support new product development and customized engineering projects.

Work with senior management on capacity expansion and long-term planning.
