Deputy General Manager (DGM)- Production / Manufacturing
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
\nProduction & Operations
\nOversee daily manufacturing operations of tube bundles.
\nEnsure achievement of production targets, schedules, and delivery commitments.
\nDrive lean manufacturing, productivity improvement, and waste reduction initiatives.
\nMonitor shop-floor performance and resolve production bottlenecks.
\nQuality Assurance
\nEnsure compliance with ASME, ISO, and other applicable industry standards.
\nReduce defects, rework, and customer complaints through robust quality systems.
\nCoordinate with QA/QC teams for root cause analysis and corrective actions.
\nPeople Management
\nLead and manage large teams across production, maintenance, and support functions.
\nHandle manpower planning, training, skill development, and performance appraisals.
\nPromote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement culture.
\nSafety & Compliance
\nEnsure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
\nDrive safety audits, training programs, and incident investigations.
\nPromote a strong safety-first culture on the shop floor.
\nCost & Resource Management
\nOptimize utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
\nMonitor manufacturing costs, budgets, and profitability.
\nImplement preventive maintenance programs to reduce breakdowns and downtime.
\nStrategic & Improvement Initiatives
\nIdentify opportunities for automation and technology upgrades.
\nSupport new product development and customized engineering projects.
\nWork with senior management on capacity expansion and long-term planning.
