Director Software Engineering - AI Based Country Solutions Platform

We're looking for an experienced and visionary Director of Software Engineering to lead our AI-based Country Solutions Platform team in India. In this strategic leadership role, you will oversee the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge AI-driven solutions tailored for diverse country-specific markets. You will drive technical excellence, foster innovation, and build high-performing engineering teams while ensuring our platform scales efficiently across multiple regions and geographies.

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, architects, and technical specialists, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement

• Define and execute the technical vision and roadmap for the AI-based Country Solutions Platform, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
\n
• Interface with country solution representatives in organising the work
\n
• Regularly interface with compliance partners regarding compliance and regulatory work
\n
• Architect scalable, secure, and efficient solutions that support multi-country deployments with localization and customization capabilities
\n
• Oversee the design and implementation of AI/ML models and algorithms that drive platform functionality and competitive advantage
\n
• Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes across all engineering teams
\n
• Collaborate with product, business, and stakeholder teams to translate requirements into technical specifications and delivery timelines
\n
• Manage platform infrastructure, cloud resources, and DevOps practices to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
\n
• Drive the adoption of modern development methodologies, including Agile practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
\n
• Conduct performance reviews, identify skill gaps, and develop talent within the organization through coaching and professional development opportunities
\n
• Analyze technical challenges, evaluate emerging technologies, and make data-driven decisions to enhance platform capabilities
\n
• Ensure compliance with security, data privacy, and regulatory requirements across all country-specific implementations

Qualifications

\n
\n
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a proven track record of designing and delivering enterprise-scale solutions
\n
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering leadership or management roles, including team building and talent development
\n
• Deep expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies, frameworks, and best practices
\n
• Strong proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and distributed systems architecture
\n
• Demonstrated experience building and scaling SaaS platforms or country-specific solutions with multi-region deployment capabilities
\n
• Expert-level knowledge of microservices architecture, API design, and modern software design patterns
\n
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks relevant to AI/ML development
\n
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code principles
\n
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make strategic technical decisions
\n
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and drive organizational alignment
\n
• Experience with Agile methodologies and iterative development processes
\n
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines
\n

**Preferred Qualifications:**

• Experience with multi-region or multi-country software deployments and localization/internationalization practices
\n
• Background in finance, tax and invoicing will be prefered
\n
• Must have the experience to deliver under tight deadlines around regulatory mandates
\n
• Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in the developer community
\n
• Experience with AI model deployment, monitoring, and optimization in production environments
\n
• Knowledge of emerging AI technologies and industry trends
