Engineer - MEP - Site (Electrical and ELV)
\nSECTION I: BASIC INFORMATION
\n- Job Function: MEP \n
- Role: Engineer - MEP - Site (Electrical and ELV) \n
- Job Family: Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) \n
- Execute and monitor electrical and ELV installations including HT/LT systems, lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, CCTV, access control, and BMS as per approved drawings and specifications. \n
- Coordinate with civil and MEP teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical and ELV works within the overall site activities. \n
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and quality standards throughout installation and testing. \n
- Inspect and verify installations, prepare snag lists, and ensure timely rectifications in coordination with vendors and subcontractors. \n
- Support in preparation of material submittals, shop drawings, and method statements related to electrical and ELV systems. \n
- Assist in testing and commissioning of electrical and ELV systems and ensure adherence to functional requirements. \n
- Project & Execution Teams: For activity coordination and schedule integration. \n
- QA/QC & Safety Teams: For progress updates, inspections, and quality adherence. \n
- Stores & Procurement Departments: For material availability and inventory updates. \n
- Subcontractors & Vendors: For execution support, installation, and material deliveries. \n
- Clients / Consultants / PMCs: For inspections, approvals, and compliance checks. \n
- Statutory & Government Authorities: For electrical safety certifications and compliance inspections. \n
- Minimum Qualifications: ITI / Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or relevant field. \n
- Language Skills: Proficient in English; knowledge of local language preferred for site communication. \n
- Years of Experience: 3 – 10 years. \n
- Nature of Experience: Experience in electrical and ELV installation, supervision, and testing at construction project sites, with exposure to coordination with multidisciplinary teams and compliance management. \n
- Electrical system installation, ELV systems (CCTV, access control, BMS, PA system) \n
- Cable laying and termination, switchgear and panel installation \n
- Drawing interpretation, AutoCAD, and MS Office proficiency \n
- Site supervision and electrical safety compliance \n
- Load calculation and voltage drop analysis \n
