\nRole: Institutional Sales Head
\nLocation: Chandivali, Mumbai
\nRole Overview:
\nThe Institutional Sales Head will lead the institutional business by expanding relationships with mutual funds, insurance companies, banks, FPIs/FIIs, pension funds, and other large institutional investors.The role will lead the sales franchise to drive revenue through equity cash and derivative products. The role involves managing high-level relationships with Fund Managers, CIOs, and Dealers at top mutual funds, insurance companies, and banks. The ideal candidate will blend deep market knowledge with a proven ability to monetize research and corporate access. Target Clients: Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs), Mutual Funds, Insurance Companies, Banks, FIIs/FPIs, AIFs, and Family Offices
\nKey Responsibilities:
\n1. Revenue Generation & Client Management
\n%CF; Generate Revenue: Achieve quarterly and annual brokerage and commission targets through Cash and Derivative products.
\n%CF; Relationship Management: Deepen wallet share with existing institutional clients (MFs, Insurance, Banks) and acquire new clients.
\n%CF; Client Coverage: Maintain high-touch, regular engagement with Decision Makers, CIOs, Fund Managers, and Dealers.
\n%CF; Product Marketing: Effectively market in-house research, investment ideas, and corporate access (roadshows, NDRs).
\n2. Strategy & Market Intelligence
\n%CF; Market Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies tailored to institutional investor needs.
\n%CF; Advisory: Advise clients on market developments, best execution, and block sourcing.
\n%CF; Feedback Loop: Provide structured, actionable feedback from clients to internal Research and Trading teams.
\n3. Execution & Operations
\n%CF; Trade Handling: Oversee smooth execution and settlement of transactions (NSE CM & FNO).
\n%CF; Platform Usage: Utilize Bloomberg, FIX order management, and other trading tools for efficiency.
\n%CF; Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to SEBI regulations and internal compliance norms.
\n4. Leadership & Mentorship
\n%CF; Team Management: Mentor, guide, and train junior sales team members to build a strong sales culture.
\n%CF; Internal Coordination: Collaborate with Investment Banking, Dealing, and Research teams to facilitate high-impact transactions.
\nRequired Skills & Competencies:
\n%CF; Strong understanding of equity markets and institutional investor behaviour.
\n%CF; Proven leadership, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
\n%CF; Excellent communication, market analysis, and decision-making abilities.
\n%CF; Ability to integrate research-driven strategies into client engagement.
\n%CF; Strong time management and coaching abilities.
\nPreferred:
\n%CF; Experience dealing with FPIs/FIIs, PMS, AIFs, ETFs.
\n%CF; Background in research or investment strategy.
\n%CF; Familiarity with electronic trading platforms and algo tools.
\nQualifications:
\n%CF; Postgraduate degree in Finance, Business, or related field (MBA/CA/CFA preferred).
\n%CF; 5+ years of relevant institutional sales experience with strong relationships across major fund houses, insurers, banks, and FIIs/FPIs.
