Job Description
Role 1: HIL Testing- Power Systems experience, OPAL RT, RTGS, Interact with HW and do the testing. Basic plant behaviours knowledge. Ability to create plant model to test the software. Domains: Industrial Automation and Energy
\nRole 2: QA - SW testing kowlege, basisc of sql, basic linux, QA artifacts. Industrial Automation Protocol / Communication Protocol experience. Domains: Industrial Automation and Energy.
\nResponsibilities:
\n- \n
- Contribute to test process, tools, and methodologies to include both manual & automated test execution. \n
- Interpret requirements for testability and ensure coverage in test case design. \n
- Present test plan to leads and product owner for approval prior to execution. \n
- Work closely with the scrum team to drive, implement, and maintain tests in an agile environment. \n
- Assess impact of design changes to determine optimal level of testing. \n
- Develop methods and perform load and performance testing. \n
- Integrate testing with continuous-integration process. \n
- Troubleshooting mindset, an ability to break down a system or process systematically and effectively into subparts to identify failure mechanisms. \n
- Ensure proper analysis and documentation of test results. \n
- Actively participate in team retrospectives. Recommend & implement improvements to test strategy & planning. \n
- Possess excellent time management and prioritization skills. \n
- Ensure all testing deliverables are of high quality and compliant. \n
- Experience in bug management tools like JIRA. \n
- Perform in-depth regression testing when bugs are resolved. \n
- Participating in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices, learn new test and automation techniques, and better assist other team members. \n
- Participate in all aspects of SDLC (analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation). Work within an Agile team, participating in ceremonies related to the Agile framework. \n
- Support cross-functional teams in requirements analysis, design reviews, code reviews, deploying, and maintaining the product / tool. \n
- Drive automation strategies, testing best practices and ensure test code is of the highest quality. \n
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, And Experience:
\n- \n
- Experience in software testing / quality assurance with web- based applications and client-server applications. \n
- Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology \n
- Hands-on experience in manual API testing \n
- Experience in automation testing using Selenium or similar frameworks. \n
- Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting \n
- Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentation) skills, and advanced problem-solving orientation and decision-making skills. \n
- Working knowledge of the various types of testing, from functional testing to performance and mobile/browser compatibility. \n
- A passion for technology with demonstrated ability to learn quickly. \n
- Understanding of the web/desktop application development cycle and programming techniques and tools \n
- Excellent project and time management skills. \n
- Ability to work independently or with a group. \n
- Ability to participate in working sessions that result in clear technical requirements and technical design while working with technical, non-technical members. \n
- Ability to write Java code for the purposes of testing solution code (e.g., white-box testing). \n
Mandatory Skills:
\nExperience in any SCADA, Controllers, or any industrial automation component like RTU, PLC, IED testing
\nExperience in testing industrial automation protocols like Modbus, DNP3, IEC 101/104, IEC 61850 etc.,
\nDomain experience in Energy, Power, Utilities.
\nWeb- based applications and client-server applications
\nSelenium or similar frameworks
\nDesired Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:

- Unix and Shell scripting basics \n
- Understanding of key UI design principles \n
- Experience in Java developments tools: IDEs, build frameworks, source code control and other ALM tools. \n
