Designation: Vendor & Customer Master Data Specialist (SAP ECC)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Vendor & Customer Master Data Specialist to manage the creation, maintenance, and validation of vendor and customer master records in SAP ECC. The role involves ensuring data accuracy, compliance with company policies, and adherence to approval workflows while maintaining high-quality master data standards.

Key Responsibilities

  Create and maintain Vendor and Customer Master records in SAP ECC.

  Verify whether requests are received from authorized personnel with the required approvals.
  

\n
• \n

  Review requests to determine whether they are for new master data creation or extension of existing records.
  

\n
• \n

  Track and monitor requests through designated portals and/or manual trackers.
  

\n
• \n

  Validate critical information such as company details, addresses, VAT/GST registration, tax information, and bank details using authorized verification platforms and supporting documentation.
  

\n
• \n

  Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and master data governance standards.
  

\n
• \n

  Perform Quality Control (QC) checks before approving and processing requests.
  

\n
• \n

  Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve data discrepancies and incomplete requests.
  

\n
• \n

  Handle queries related to vendor and customer master data creation, updates, and maintenance.
  

\n
• \n

  Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
  

\n
• \n

  Support process improvement initiatives to enhance master data quality and operational efficiency.

  Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

  Hands-on experience with SAP ECC (Vendor & Customer Master Data Management).

  Prior experience in Master Data Management (MDM).

  Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  

\n
• \n

  Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  

\n
• \n

  Ability to work within defined SLAs and compliance requirements.

• \n

  Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

Requirements

  Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.

• \n

  Minimum 1–5 years of experience in Vendor Master Data, Customer Master Data, Shared Services, or Master Data Management functions.

• \n

  Experience working in SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA environments.
  

\n
• \n

  Knowledge of data validation, compliance controls, and master data governance processes.
  

\n
• \n

  Experience in handling global master data requests will be an added advantage.
