Job Title: Branch Manager (BM)
Role Overview
The Branch Manager (BM) will be responsible for overall branch profitability, team performance, portfolio quality, and regulatory compliance. The role involves leading the sales team (RMs), driving secured loan disbursements (primarily Loan Against Property – LAP), ensuring credit quality, and maintaining operational discipline while safeguarding portfolio health.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Growth & Target Achievement
• Drive branch-level login and disbursement targets.
• Develop and execute local market expansion strategies.
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales funnel metrics.
• Activate and manage local sourcing channels (connectors, brokers, referral networks).
• Ensure achievement of revenue and profitability targets for the branch.
2. Team Management & Leadership
• Recruit, train, and supervise Relationship Managers (RMs).
• Set individual targets and monitor performance through structured reviews.
• Conduct field visits with RMs for productivity enhancement.
• Ensure discipline, attendance, and ethical sales practices.
• Build a high-performance sales culture within the branch.
3. Credit Oversight & Documentation Control
• Conduct preliminary screening of cases before credit submission.
• Ensure complete and accurate documentation before login.
• Minimize rejection ratios by maintaining file quality standards.
• Coordinate with credit, legal, and operations teams to maintain TAT.
4. Process, Compliance & Risk Management
• Ensure strict adherence to RBI and internal NBFC compliance norms.
• Maintain audit-ready branch documentation and records.
• Monitor portfolio delinquency (PAR) and initiate early risk mitigation.
• Oversee KYC, AML, and policy compliance across all sourced cases.
5. Portfolio & Collection Supervision
• Monitor repayment trends and bucket movement.
• Collections for delinquent accounts.
• Ensure portfolio quality remains within defined risk thresholds.
• Maintain healthy customer relationships to support repeat business and references.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Branch monthly login volume
• Branch disbursement value
• Revenue and profitability metrics
• File quality ratio / rejection rate
• Portfolio delinquency (PAR 30/60/90)
• Team productivity per RM
• Compliance and audit observations
Eligibility Criteria
• Graduate / Postgraduate in Commerce, Finance, or Management preferred.
• 3–8 years of experience in LAP / Mortgage / Secured Business Loan segment.
• Minimum 1–3 years of team handling experience in NBFC/Bank.
• Strong local market knowledge of assigned geography.
