About Our Client
\n\nOur client is a newly established entity within India's open digital commerce ecosystem, focused on enabling inclusive and accessible online commerce for small businesses, artisans, and farmers. Backed by a large national digital commerce initiative, the organization is building platforms that allow sellers across the country to participate seamlessly in the digital economy.
\n The team is currently developing a buyer-facing application aimed at simplifying discovery and purchasing from local sellers while ensuring interoperability across multiple commerce platforms. The platform is already seeing strong early traction and aspires to become a widely adopted solution that democratizes digital commerce in India.
Job Description

\n %CF; Lead platform engineering, product technology, infrastructure, DevOps and QA functions
\n %CF; Conceptualise and design micro-service framework; build micro-services from platform perspective
\n %CF; Develop long-term scalable architecture designed for interoperability and network effects
\n %CF; Instil an AI-fi rst approach to enhance the existing tech stack and future-proof the platform
\n %CF; Ensure reliability, security, resilience, and performance for population-scale usage
\n %CF; Build and lead high-performance engineering teams and attract top tech talent
\n %CF; Operationalise engineering governance, standards, and best practices
\n %CF; Collaborate with product, business, ecosystem partners, and govt/industry stakeholders
\n %CF; Drive innovation, experimentation, rapid prototyping and platform evolution
The Successful Applicant
\n\n%CF; 15+ years of total technology leadership experience with 3+ years in senior tech leadership roles
\n %CF; Proven experience in building and scaling complex distributed systems & platforms
\n %CF; Deep understanding of microservices, cloud-native architecture, APIs, event-driven systems
\n %CF; Exposure to digital commerce / public digital infrastructure / large-scale networks preferred
\n %CF; Strong fi rst principles + product thinking orientation
\n %CF; Strong people leadership - building high-performing engineering culture
\n %CF; Ability to drive architecture + business outcome thinking simultaneously
\n %CF; Experience working with multi-stakeholder ecosystems
