Senior Costing Engineer-Mechanical

Preparing zero based costing for all types of casting, Machining, Plastics, Sheet metal, Fabrication, Rubber, Tubes and Forging commodities (expertise in all commodities preferred, any two is must)
\n Perform teardown and directional costing for competitor & build to spec parts.
\n Assess cost impact of part modification linked to design change and process change
\n Use Should cost data to help the Design engineering team to adopt design to cost approach
\n Evaluate RM & Forex indexing and price increase requests from suppliers
\n Assess supplier quotes and provide feedback on technical and commercial proposal in line with should cost
\n Prepare & Maintain BOM for Vehicle & Subsystems
\n Keep Cost models updated based on RM, Forex Fluctuation
\n Holistic view of all financial aspects of a project (Prototype costs, budgets, obsolescence costs etc)
\n Work with cross functional teams to review supplier Quotes and align with should cost
\n Must maintain cost engineering Database required for part costing
\n Develop & update costing templates for all mechanical commodities used for vehicle and CI Manufacturing
