SAP S/4HANA Transformation – Production Planning / Quality Management Lead

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA PP / QM Lead to lead Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) workstreams in large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation projects . The role is responsible for end-to-end ownership of manufacturing and quality solution design, delivery governance, and successful adoption of SAP S/4HANA best practices.

The PP / QM Lead will work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, and cross-functional SAP teams to drive transformation across Plan-to-Produce and Quality-to-Release processes.

Key Responsibilities

S/4HANA PP / QM Workstream Leadership

• Lead PP and QM workstreams in SAP S/4HANA transformation programs (Greenfield, Brownfield, or Selective Data Transition).

• Own end-to-end delivery of Plan-to-Produce , Production Execution, and Quality processes.
\n
• Act as the primary escalation point for PP / QM-related topics.
\n

Solution Design & Delivery

\n
• Drive solution design and hands-on configuration for:SAP PP : Demand Management, MRP, BOMs, Routings, Work Centers, Capacity Planning, Production OrdersSAP QM : Inspection Planning, Inspection Types, Results Recording, Usage Decisions, Quality Notifications
\n
• Ensure adoption of S/4HANA manufacturing and quality simplifications and innovations.
\n
• Guide decisions on Discrete vs Process Manufacturing scenarios.
\n

S/4HANA Transformation Activities

\n
• Lead Fit-to-Standard (F2S) workshops and business process harmonization.
\n
• Assess and manage custom code (RICEFW) impacts for PP / QM in S/4HANA.
\n
• Lead manufacturing and quality master data conversion and validation activities.
\n

Integration & Cross-Module Coordination

\n
• Coordinate closely with MM, WM/EWM, SD, PM, and FI/CO teams.
\n
• Ensure seamless integration across Procure-to-Produce and Make-to-Deliver processes.
\n
• Collaborate with technical teams (ABAP, CPI, interfaces) on enhancements and integrations.
\n

Testing, Cutover & Go-Live

\n
• Lead unit testing, SIT, UAT , and defect resolution for PP / QM.
\n
• Own cutover planning for production orders, batches, and inspection lots.
\n
• Provide go-live and hypercare support , ensuring manufacturing stability.
\n

Governance & Team Leadership

\n
• Ensure adherence to SAP Activate methodology , project standards, and documentation.
\n
• Review and approve functional designs, configurations, and test artifacts.
\n
• Mentor PP / QM consultants and support knowledge transfer.
\n

Required Skills & Experience

\n

SAP PP / QM Expertise

\n
• 10–12+ years of SAP experience with strong hands-on expertise in:SAP PP (Discrete and/or Process Manufacturing)SAP QM
\n
• At least 2–3 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA transformation projects in a Lead role.
\n
• Strong understanding of manufacturing and quality management processes .
\n

S/4HANA & Manufacturing Knowledge

\n
• Experience with:S/4HANA MRP and production execution simplificationsQM integration with MM and PPBatch Management, Serial Numbers, and Inspection Lot Processing
\n
• Exposure to Advanced Planning (PP/DS, IBP) is an advantage.
\n
• Knowledge on LeanIX, Signavio for process flow preparation and discussion with business team, is an added advantage.
\n

Leadership & Delivery Skills

\n
• Proven experience leading PP / QM delivery in large SAP programs.
\n
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
\n
• Experience working in global onshore–offshore delivery models .
\n

Preferred Qualifications

\n
• SAP S/4HANA certification in PP or QM
\n
• Experience with SAP Activate methodology
\n
• Industry experience in Manufacturing, Automotive, Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, or Consumer Goods
\n
• Exposure to EWM, PM, or Advanced ATP is a plus
\n
