\nWho we are looking for:
\nAre you excited by challenges? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced, international and dynamic environment? Then now is the time to join Quorum Software, a rapidly growing company and industry leader in oil & gas transformation.
\nJob Purpose
\nAs a Software Engineer in the engineering team, you will deliver end-to-end features across the full stack from React frontends through event-driven Node.js microservices to infrastructure-as-code.
\nThis is beyond a pure front-end or back-end role. You will own features from UI through Kafka event flow to Kubernetes deployment, working within domain-driven service boundaries alongside architects and domain experts. You will ship production code frequently, write tests that matter, and operate what you build.
\nWhat You Will Do:
\n- Build and ship end-to-end features across React frontends and TypeScript/Node.js microservices, owning the full path from user interaction through API, event propagation, and data persistence \n
- Design and implement backend microservices in TypeScript on Node.js, following domain-driven design boundaries. \n
- Build responsive, data-rich frontend interfaces in React using TypeScript \n
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs (OpenAPI 3.0) in an event-driven architecture using Apache Kafka for asynchronous domain event propagation \n
- Implement and maintain PostgreSQL schemas, queries, and migrations for dedicated per-service databases \n
- Write comprehensive unit tests, integration tests, E2E tests for critical paths, and API contract tests \n
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline quality — builds, lint, SAST scans, integration tests, and deployment. \n
- Collaborate with the integration team on connectors to external systems. \n
- Work within an agile delivery model with two-week sprints, daily standups, and structured demo/retro cadences \n
- And other duties as assigned. \n
- 2+ years of professional software development experience \n
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES+), with hands-on Node.js backend experience \n
- Experience building frontend applications with React (functional components, hooks, state management) \n
- Proficient in AI-assisted development workflows using tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar AI coding agents as part of the daily development cycle, from code generation and review through testing and documentation \n
- Solid understanding of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL (schema design, indexing, query optimisation, migrations) \n
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs; familiarity with OpenAPI / Swagger specifications \n
- Comfortable with Git workflows (feature branches, pull requests, rebasing) and CI/CD pipelines \n
- Understanding of containerisation with Docker and basic Kubernetes concepts (pods, services, deployments) \n
- Strong testing discipline — unit, integration, and end-to-end testing with frameworks such as Jest, Playwright, or Cypress \n
- Effective communicator who thrives in cross-functional, geographically distributed teams \n
- Visa Sponsorship: Employment eligibility to work with Quorum Software in India is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for this position. \n
