Job Description
Responsibilities
\nTesting & Quality Assurance
\n• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for React-based
\nfrontend and FastAPI/Python backend systems
\n• Validate REST APIs, data flows, and database integrity across the full application stack
\n• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing
\n• Test and validate medical imaging workflows including DICOM data handling and HL7
\nmessaging
\nCollaboration & Process
\n• Work closely with developers, product managers, and clinical stakeholders to
\nunderstand requirements and define acceptance criteria
\n• Participate in code reviews from a QA perspective and contribute to shift-left testing
\npractices
\n• Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking tools; follow up through to
\nresolution
\n• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests and ensuring quality gates
\nDocumentation & Compliance
\n• Maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and QA documentation
\n• Support compliance and audit activities relevant to healthcare software standards
\n• Contribute to team discussions on quality strategy and continuous improvement
\nRequired Qualifications
\n• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Pytest, Vitest, Selenium, or
\nCypress)
\n• Proficiency in writing test scripts in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript
\n• Experience testing REST APIs using tools such as Postman, pytest, or similar
\n• Familiarity with SQL databases (MySQL or similar) for data validation
\n• Understanding of frontend testing concepts for React applications
\n• Experience with cloud-based application testing (AWS, GCP, or Azure environments)
\n• Hands-on experience with regression testing — designing regression suites and
\nensuring build stability across releases
\n• Experience with load and performance testing using tools such as JMeter, Locust, k6, or
\nsimilar
\n• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
\n• ~2 years' experience with software development/testing
\n• JLPT N1 or N2 certification
\n• Strong written and spoken Japanese and English communication skills
\n• Prior experience working onsite in Japan
\n• Experience working with Japanese clients
\nGood to Have
\n• Exposure to medical imaging or healthcare systems (DICOM, HL7, FHIR)
\n• Familiarity with pydicom, hl7apy, or similar healthcare data tools
\n• Experience with containerised environments using Docker
\n• Experience working in distributed or remote-first teams
\n• Awareness of healthcare software compliance standards (e.g., FDA, CE, ISO 13485)
