Payment Business Analyst

We are currently seeking a Payment Business Analyst to join our team in Noida, Uttar Pradesh (IN-UP), India (IN).

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and analytical Payment Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will drive insights, support product and operational decisions, and ensure the efficiency, compliance, and scalability of our payment processes. You will collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Engineering, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and external payment partners to enhance our end‑to‑end payment ecosystem.

What you will do

• Gather, document, and translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for payment systems and workflows.

• Conduct gap analyses and propose process improvements for payment operations, reconciliations, and customer payment journeys.
\n
• Support payment product enhancements by working closely with Product Managers and Engineering teams.
\n
• Monitor payment success rates, transaction flows, settlement timelines, and processing costs.
\n
• Identify root causes of payment failures and collaborate with stakeholders to define corrective actions.
\n
• Analyze payment data to derive insights on customer behaviour, payment performance, fraud trends, and operational bottlenecks.
\n
• Present analytical findings to leadership to inform strategic decisions.
\n
• Liaise with payment service providers (PSPs), acquirers, banks, and other partners to troubleshoot issues and optimize performance.

Experience and Skills Required:

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
\n
• 8+ years of experience in payments, fintech, banking, or financial operations.
\n
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with experience using SQL, Excel.
\n
• Solid understanding of payment methods (Swift/SEPA), payment gateways, fraud controls, and settlement processes.
\n
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams in an agile environment.
\n
