Role Summary: Operations Lead
\n We are seeking an experienced DevOps Tech Lead to drive operational excellence and lead a dynamic team in our fast-paced, high-performance trading environment. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise in Python and Bash , with working knowledge of C++ to effectively collaborate with trading and quant engineers, along with proven leadership capabilities to optimize processes, ensure system reliability, and deliver results.
\n Responsibilities
%CF; Team & stakeholder leadership - Lead 3-4 operations professionals and work
\n cross-functionally with developers, system administrators, quants, and traders
\n %CF; DevOps automation & deployment - Develop deployment pipelines, automate
\n configuration management, and build Python-based tools for operational processes and
\n system optimization
\n %CF; Technical excellence & standards - Drive code reviews, establish development
\n standards, ensure regional consistency with DevOps practices, and maintain technical
\n documentation
\n %CF; System operations & performance - Monitor and optimize system performance for
\n high availability, scalability, and security while managing day-to-day operations
\n %CF; Incident management & troubleshooting - Coordinate incident response, resolve
\n infrastructure and deployment issues, and implement automated solutions to prevent
\n recurring problems
\n %CF; Strategic technical leadership - Make infrastructure decisions, identify operational
\n requirements, design scalable architecture, and stay current with industry best practices
\n %CF; Reporting & continuous improvement - Report on operational metrics and KPIs to
\n senior leadership while actively contributing to DevOps process improvements
Qualifications and Experience
\n %CF; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
\n %CF; Proven experience of at least 5 years as a Software Engineer, including at least 2 years
\n as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, working with complex software projects and
\n environments.
\n %CF; Excellent knowledge with cloud technologies, containers and orchestration.
\n %CF;Strong proficiency in Python and Bash for automation and tooling, with working knowledge of C++ to read, review, and collaborate on trading system codebases.
\n %CF; Experience with Linux operating systems and command-line tools.
\n %CF; Proficient in using Git for version control.
\n Good to Have
\n %CF; Experience with Nagios or similar monitoring and alerting systems
\n %CF; Backend and/or frontend development experience for operational tooling
\n %CF; Previous experience working in a trading firm or financial services environment
\n %CF; Knowledge of database management and SQL
\n %CF; Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
\n %CF; Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
\n %CF; Understanding of network protocols and system administration And Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
