Job Description
Role Purpose
\nTo manage and administer the organization's corporate insurance portfolio, ensuring adequate risk coverage, timely renewals, premium processing, claims management, compliance with policy terms & conditions, and effective coordination with brokers and insurance companies.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nInsurance Policy Administration & Risk Coverage
\nManage the organization's General Insurance and Liability Insurance portfolio.
\nReview, evaluate, and process insurance proposals with a thorough understanding of policy terms, conditions, exclusions, deductibles, and coverage adequacy.
\nCoordinate with internal stakeholders, insurance brokers, and insurance companies for obtaining quotations and policy issuance.
\nAdminister various insurance policies including:
\no Marine Insurance
\no Fire Insurance
\no Property All Risk (PAR) Policy
\no Public Liability Act Policy
\no Commercial General Liability (CGL)
\no Product Liability Insurance
\no Employee Compensation Policy
\no Erection All Risk (EAR) Policy
\no Other corporate insurance policies as required
\nPolicy Renewal & Broker Management
\nLiaise with insurance brokers and insurance companies to obtain competitive quotations for policy renewals and new requirements.
\nConduct comparative analysis of premiums, coverage, benefits, exclusions, and deductibles.
\nNegotiate favorable terms and conditions to optimize insurance coverage and cost.
\nVerify renewed policies against approved quotations and negotiated terms before acceptance.
\nPremium Processing & Financial Control
\nProcess insurance premium payments within stipulated timelines.
\nMaintain records of premium payments, deposits, and insurance-related financial transactions.
\nCoordinate with Accounts Payable and Finance teams for timely settlement of premiums.
\nEnsure proper documentation and audit readiness of insurance records.
\nClaims Management
\nHandle end-to-end insurance claims administration.
\nCoordinate with surveyors, brokers, insurers, and internal stakeholders for claim submissions and settlements.
\nTrack claim status and ensure timely closure.
\nMaintain claim documentation and recovery records. MIS Reporting & Compliance
\nMaintain and update Insurance MIS covering policies, claims, renewals, endorsements, and premium payments.
\nGenerate periodic management reports and dashboards.
\nMonitor compliance with insurance policy terms, warranties, and conditions.
\nSupport internal and external audits related to insurance matters.
\nEnsure timely renewal tracking and policy compliance across locations.
\nStakeholder Management
\nCollaborate with Plant, Supply Chain, Commercial, Legal, HR, Finance, and Operations teams for insurance-related requirements.
\nAct as a key point of contact for insurance brokers and insurance companies.
\nProvide guidance to internal stakeholders on insurance coverage and claim procedures.
\nAdditional Responsibilities
\nSupport risk assessment initiatives and insurance optimization projects.
\nUndertake any other assignments delegated by management from time to time.
\nDesired Candidate Profile
\n5–8 years of experience in Corporate Insurance Management, preferably in Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, Chemical, FMCG, or related industries.
\nStrong knowledge of General Insurance, Liability Insurance, and Corporate Risk Management.
\nHands-on experience in policy administration, renewals, claims handling, and broker management.
\nGood understanding of insurance regulations, policy wording, endorsements, and compliance requirements.
\nProficiency in SAP (AP Module), MS Excel (Advanced), and MIS reporting.
\nStrong analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple insurance portfolios effectively.
