Job Description
Job Purpose:
\nTo lead, plan, and execute the development of new products from concept to market launch, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals, customer requirements, and profitability objectives.
\nKey Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Planning: \n
- \n
- Identify and evaluate market opportunities for new products based on market trends, customer feedback, and competitor analysis. \n
- Define product roadmaps, timelines, and development priorities aligned with business objectives. \n
- Prepare feasibility studies and cost-benefit analysis for proposed products. \n

New Product Development: \n
- \n
- Lead the design, prototyping, and testing phases of new products, ensuring adherence to quality and cost targets. \n
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (design, production, procurement, quality) to drive timely product development. \n
- Prepare and monitor project budgets and timelines. \n

Market & Customer Analysis: \n
- \n
- Gather and analyze customer needs, market gaps, and competitor products to define product specifications. \n
- Conduct customer trials and collect feedback for refining products before full-scale launch. \n
\n -
Supplier & Material Coordination: \n
- \n
- Liaise with suppliers for new material/component identification, trials, and approvals. \n
- Collaborate with the purchase team for sourcing and cost negotiations of new materials. \n
\n -
Quality & Compliance: \n
- \n
- Ensure all new products comply with quality standards and regulatory requirements. \n
- Document and maintain technical specifications, product BOMs, and work instructions. \n

Product Launch: \n
- \n
- Plan and coordinate pilot production runs and commercial production ramp-up. \n
- Support sales and marketing teams with product training and technical information for effective market launch. \n

Continuous Improvement: \n
- \n
- Analyze product performance post-launch for further improvement opportunities. \n
- Implement feedback received from customers and sales teams for enhancing product features and performance. \n

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong project management and organizational skills. \n
- Knowledge of product design, materials, and manufacturing processes (stationery/packaging/related industry preferred). \n
- Market research and data analysis capabilities. \n
- Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration. \n
Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Product Design, or a related field (Master's preferred). \n
- 5–8 years of experience in product development, preferably in the stationery, FMCG, or manufacturing sector. \n
- Proven track record of managing new product development projects from concept to launch. \n
