\nJob Description:
\n- Become a member of the Automotive Products Group (APG) and provide guidance and direction to product development teams, focusing on implementing functional safety into product, or to adapt an existing product to meet functional safety requirements. \n
- Assist project teams with software tool classification and qualification per ISO26262 requirements. \n
- Support organization level processes and procedures to comply with Functional Safety. \n
- Assist with architectural development for functional safety compliance \n
- Drive continuous improvement within the Business Units to develop ISO26262 compliant work products. \n
- Conduct confirmation reviews of ISO26262 compliant work products, take a central role in 3rd party audits/assessments. Assist different Business Units with 3rd party certification of Functional Safety collateral as necessary. \n
- Evangelize the Functional Safety approach across organizational boundaries and with management. \n
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and 3+ years of relevant work experience \n
- Skilled at persuasive speaking and writing \n
- Excellent verbal and written communication \n
- Experience in a semiconductor New Product Introduction (NPI) team \n
- 3+ years’ experience with ISO26262, implementing functional Safety \n
- Experience with ISO26262 compliant hardware development \n
- Familiarity with software quality management (ASPICE) \n
- Experience with driving Confirmation Reviews of ISO26262 Work Products \n
- Experience with Functional Safety Audits and Assessments \n
- Familiarity with IATF-16949 \n
- Familiarity with semiconductor devices such as Microcontroller Units (MCUs), Power Management Units, Communication Interfaces, Error Control and Coding \n
- Familiarity with automotive safety systems \n
- Familiarity with wafer manufacturing, assembly, and test processes \n
- Familiarity with 8D reports, PPAPs, Q100, Q101, Q006 qualification desired but not required \n
