SAP S/4HANA Transformation – EHS Consultant

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA EHS Consultant to support end-to-end SAP S/4HANA transformation and implementation projects . The consultant will work under the guidance of an EHS Lead or Solution Architect and contribute to configuration, testing, data migration support, and post–go-live stabilization of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) processes.

This role focuses on hands-on functional delivery across occupational health & safety, environmental compliance, and product safety, aligned with SAP S/4HANA best practices and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

SAP EHS Configuration & Support

• Configure and support SAP S/4HANA EHS processes including:
\n
• Incident and Accident Management
\n
• Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification
\n
• Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS)
\n
• Dangerous Goods Management
\n
• Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene
\n
• Support environmental and safety compliance reporting .
\n

S/4HANA Transformation Support

\n
• Support ECC to S/4HANA conversions or greenfield implementations.
\n
• Apply S/4HANA EHS best practices and simplifications.
\n
• Assist in Fit-to-Standard (F2S) workshops and requirement clarification.
\n

Integration & Collaboration

\n
• Work closely with MM, SD, PP, QM, WM/EWM, GTS, and FI/CO teams to ensure end-to-end integration.
\n
• Support integration of EHS with logistics, manufacturing, and compliance processes.
\n
• Coordinate with technical teams (ABAP, CPI, document management) on RICEFW objects and interfaces.
\n

Testing & Data Migration

\n
• Prepare and execute unit testing and SIT test cases for EHS scenarios.
\n
• Support UAT , defect resolution, and business user clarification.
\n
• Assist with data migration validation for EHS master data (substances, specifications, phrases).
\n

Go-Live & Hypercare

\n
• Support cutover activities for EHS master and transactional data.
\n
• Provide hypercare support , troubleshooting EHS-related issues post go-live.
\n
• Document issues, resolutions, and compliance process changes.
\n

Documentation & Methodology

\n
• Prepare and maintain:
\n
• Functional specifications
\n
• Configuration documents
\n
• Test scripts and user guides
\n
• Follow SAP Activate methodology and project documentation standards.
\n

Required Skills & Experience

\n

SAP EHS Expertise

\n
• 5–8 years of SAP functional experience in SAP EHS .
\n
• At least one full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementation or conversion project .
\n
• Strong understanding of EHS and regulatory compliance processes .
\n

S/4HANA & Compliance Knowledge

\n
• Hands-on experience with:
\n
• S/4HANA EHS configuration
\n
• EHS integration with logistics and manufacturing modules
\n
• Regulatory frameworks (GHS, REACH, OSHA, etc.)
\n
• Exposure to SAP Product Compliance or Dangerous Goods is a plus.
\n
• Knowledge on LeanIX, Signavio for process flow preparation and discussion with business team, is an added advantage
\n

Preferred Qualifications

\n
• SAP S/4HANA or SAP EHS certification
\n
• Experience with SAP Activate methodology
\n
• Industry exposure to Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, or Life Sciences
\n
• Exposure to SAP Sustainability or Product Compliance solutions is an advantage
\n
