  • Readiness to the role as per the Retirement career path / skill blocks
  • \n
  • Spent at least 80% of target client hours in a 'scrutineer' role.
  • \n
  • Role model for junior colleagues in 'scrutineer' behaviours, following all required calculation processes and promoting full adherence to QRC guidance
  • \n
  • Build and develop relationships with key UK colleagues and seek out opportunities to present work to them.
  • \n
  • Lead project kick off effectively. Plan out the required work, setting appropriate review points and milestones to monitor progress.
  • \n
  • Full responsibilities to review big projects & manage delivery independently.
  • \n
  • Prepares original materials (letters, reports, discussion guides) for the lead actuary including first draft of commentary on results
  • \n
  • Fully understands UK pensions legislation, work as starter scrutineer on one of major work types - Actuarial Valuation / Accounting / Consulting support services / GMP equalisation
  • \n
  • Ability to stand back from detailed calculations, sense-check, draw conclusions and see the work in a broader context of the client's needs and the legislative framework.
  • \n
  • Answers client questions without reliance on the lead actuary and is a strong backup to lead actuary
  • \n
  • Ensures own work and work of junior colleagues is complete and thorough, requiring minimal review from lead actuary
  • \n
  • Identifies and implements improvements to the various processes
  • \n
  • Champions of new ideas and initiatives that deliver strategic results
  • \n
  • Plan and execute technical meetings and training as per the team's requirement for the Individual contributor roles
  • \n
  • Create an open, collaborative, and engaging team environment
  • \n
  • Has built and maintained a network of stakeholders, including appropriate decision-makers and represents the India team in various forums
  • \n

    The Successful Applicant

    A successful IND Sr. Consultant II Retirement - Actuarial should have:

  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • \n
  • Ability to effectively communicate the team goals and drive business results
  • \n
  • Understands the professional requirements and quality standards for UK work
  • \n
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently
  • \n
  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds
  • \n
  • An expert in one or more of the specialist areas - valuation, accounting, client extension work, risk & modelling, GMP equalisation, cash equivalent transfer value - but will have a general understanding of all the work and the ability to adapt to new work.
