Commissioning Engineer- Solar/ Power Plant

Key Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning activities for solar PV plants or power projects .
\n
• Configure, test, and validate SCADA systems including communication protocols (IEC 61850, Modbus, DNP3, OPC).
\n
• Perform functional testing of electrical equipment (switchgear, transformers, inverters, protection relays).
\n
• Ensure compliance with grid codes, safety standards, and project specifications .
\n
• Collaborate with design, construction, and operations teams to resolve technical issues.
\n
• Prepare and maintain commissioning documentation : test reports, punch lists, and handover packages.
\n
• Conduct training sessions for client/operator teams on system operation and maintenance.
\n
• Support troubleshooting and optimization during project handover and early operation phase.
\n

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related discipline .
\n
• 4 8 years of commissioning experience in solar PV plants or power projects .
\n
• Strong knowledge of SCADA systems, PLC/DCS platforms, and industrial communication protocols .
\n
• Experience with protection systems, grid interconnection, and electrical testing procedures .
\n
• Familiarity with international standards (IEC, IEEE, ISO) and local regulatory requirements.
\n
• Willingness to travel to project sites (domestic/international).
