Maintenance Head
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
\nDevelop and implement maintenance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the efficient operation and upkeep of facilities and equipment.
\nPlan and schedule preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and prolong the lifespan of assets.
\nManage a team of maintenance technicians, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and development.
\nCoordinate with department heads to prioritize maintenance tasks based on operational needs and service requirements.
\nOversee the troubleshooting and diagnosis of equipment malfunctions, ensuring timely and effective repairs.
\nMonitor inventory levels of spare parts and maintenance supplies, and ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
\nDevelop and manage maintenance budgets, including cost estimation, expenditure tracking, and variance analysis.
\nEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental regulations related to maintenance activities.
\nImplement energy-saving initiatives and sustainability practices to reduce operating costs and minimize environmental impact.
\nEstablish and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors for outsourced maintenance services and procurement of equipment and supplies.
\nConduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs and address potential hazards or safety risks.
\nCollaborate with other departments to support special projects, renovations, and facility expansions.
\nKeep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in maintenance management.
\nQualifications:
\nBachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, facilities management, or a related field (preferred).
\nProven experience in maintenance management, with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the service industry.
\nStrong technical knowledge of building systems, mechanical equipment, and utilities infrastructure.
\nExcellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team of maintenance technicians.
\nProficiency in maintenance management software, computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), and other relevant software applications.
\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and regulatory agencies.
\nKnowledge of safety regulations, compliance standards, and environmental requirements relevant to the service industry.
\nProject management skills and experience overseeing large-scale maintenance projects and capital expenditures.
\nRelevant certifications (e.g., Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional, Facilities Management Professional) are desirable.
