  • Work closely with the HR team on workforce matters including hiring, onboarding, employee relations, disciplinary issues, restructuring, transfers, and exits from a legal aspect.
  • \n
  • Draft, review, and standardize employment contracts, notices, termination letters, and HR policy documents aligned with Indian labour and employment law.
  • \n
  • Advise HR and business teams on applicability and compliance requirements under Indian labour statutes.
  • \n
  • Support policy updates and employment governance initiatives across stakeholder groups.
  • \n
  • Review and redline customer, vendor, partner, and data‑protection‑related agreements; provide basic commercial contracting support.
  • \n
  • Coordinate with external counsel on employment‑related litigation and selected commercial disputes; manage documentation and follow‑ups.
  • \n
  • Provide guidance on privacy requirements, including obligations under evolving Indian privacy laws as they relate to workforce and contracting.

    The Successful Applicant

    \n

    \n

    An ideal candidate should possess:

    \n
  • A degree in Law from a recognised institution.
  • \n
  • 5-8 years PQE in scaled IT/services/product organisations only.
  • \n
  • Demonstrated depth in employment & labour law advisory for the IT context: employment contracts, policy design, employee relations/discipline, restructuring, and compliant exits.
  • \n
  • Comfort working with external counsel
  • \n
  • Strong legal drafting, stakeholder communication, and time management skills.
  • \n
  • High proficiency in MS Word and working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
