\nThe Project Manager for Smart Switch Projects holds a critical leadership position, responsible for overseeing the development and deployment of firmwares for hardware platforms. \nThis position demands an individual who is both technically proficient and

\ndiverse stakeholders. The Project Manager is accountable for all phases of the
\nproject lifecycle—from requirements definition and planning, through

\nKey Responsibilities
\n• Project Planning & Strategy: Formulate comprehensive project plans,
\nschedules, resource allocations and risk mitigation frameworks.

\n• Technical Oversight: Provide authoritative guidance on architecture,
\ndesign, and validation. Partner with senior engineers to resolve
\nintegration challenges, ensure compliance with operating system
\nstandards (e.g., FreeBSD, Linux operating systems), and document
\ntechnical decisions rigorously.
\n• Quality Assurance: Supervise the creation and execution of robust test
\nplans, encompassing unit, integration, and system-level validation
\nactivities. Advocate for best practices in source control, code review,
\nbuild automation, and defect tracking methodologies.
\n• Risk & Change Management: Proactively identify potential project risks
\nand implement mitigation strategies. Administer changes to project
\nrequirements, scope, and resources through established change control
\nprocesses, balancing adaptability with the rigor required in high-
\nreliability or safety-critical contexts.
\n• Budgeting & Resource Management: Monitor project expenditures,
\noptimize resource allocation, and provide detailed reports on financial
\nperformance. Develop cost projections for prospective projects and
\nparticipate in contract negotiations as necessary.
\n• Process Improvement: Evaluate project outcomes, conduct post-project
\nanalyses, and implement process enhancements to increase
\noperational efficiency and forecast accuracy. Promote the adoption of
\nindustry-standard methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban), suitably
\nadapted for device driver & firmware development.
\n• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all deliverables comply with
\nrelevant regulatory standards and certifications (such as ISO, IEC, FDA,
\nautomotive ASPICE, and cybersecurity frameworks) as required by the
\nrespective application domain.
\nQualifications
\n• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical
\nEngineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline. A
\nMaster's degree or PMP certification is considered an asset.
\n• Experience: A minimum of five years of project management experience
\nwithin embedded systems, including at least three years dedicated to
\ndevice driver development for major operating systems or hardware
\nplatforms.
\n• Technical Expertise: Profound knowledge of Operating System
\narchitecture, kernel programming, hardware abstraction layers, and
\nsystems integration. Proficiency with C/C++, assembly, scripting
\nlanguages, and hardware interface protocols (such as PCIe, USB, I2C,
\nSPI, UART, etc.).
\n• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional
\nteams, coordinate multiple concurrent projects, and deliver results in
\ncomplex, fast-paced environments.
\n• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills,
