\nWe seek a Strategic Plant Head to lead our manufacturing facility in Chennai. This pivotal role will oversee all plant operations, ensuring efficient production of superior mechanical auto components. We require a visionary leader with strong engineering and manufacturing acumen, capable of driving strategic initiatives to enhance operational performance and achieve business objectives.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\nStrategic Leadership:

- Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with corporate objectives to optimize plant performance and productivity. \n
- Drive initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes, quality assurance, and cost-efficiency. \n
Operational Management:

- Oversee daily plant operations, including production, quality control, maintenance, and safety. \n
- Implement strategies to improve production efficiency and meet manufacturing targets. \n
Team Leadership & Development:

- Lead and mentor a diverse team of managers and supervisors to foster a collaborative and high-performance culture. \n
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support professional development initiatives. \n
Quality Assurance & Compliance:

- Ensure adherence to stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements. \n
- Implement robust quality control measures and drive continuous improvement initiatives to minimize defects and enhance product quality. \n
Safety & Environmental Compliance:

- Promote a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. \n
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments, implementing corrective actions as necessary. \n
Financial Management:

- Develop and manage the plant s budget to ensure cost-effective operations and alignment with financial targets. \n
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and optimize resource utilization. \n
Infrastructure & Asset Management:

- Oversee maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance of plant equipment and facilities. \n
- Plan and execute upgrades and improvements to support production requirements and operational efficiency. \n
Stakeholder Engagement:

- Collaborate with senior management to align plant strategies with organizational goals. \n
- Foster strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and key stakeholders to enhance business outcomes. \n
Qualifications:
\n- \n
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering; MBA or advanced degree is a plus. \n
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the automotive or mechanical components industry. \n
- Proven track record of successfully leading plant operations, driving continuous improvement, and achieving operational excellence. \n
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality management systems, and safety standards. \n
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams. \n
- Proficiency in ERP systems and other relevant plant management software. \n
- Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to make informed decisions and solve complex problems effectively. \n
