Sr. Exec/AM - Procurement
Job Description
As AM - Procurement, you will be responsible for management of procurement activities, optimization of supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing strategies to support business objectives. The role requires a deep understanding of sourcing, contract negotiation, procurement analytics, and supplier performance management. The candidate will work closely with internal teams such as supply chain, production, finance, and marketing to ensure a seamless procurement process aligned with company goals. This role will involve working with MRP (Material Requirements Planning), IBP (Integrated Business Planning), and Power BI to enhance decision-making and operational effectiveness.
\nKey Responsibilities
\n1. Digital Procurement & Data Analytics:
\nUtilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools in ERP systems to ensure material availability.
\nUpgradation & roadmap to Integrated Business Planning (IBP) solutions for scenario planning
\nEnhancement of SRM portals (P2P/ASN) for seamless visibility of RMPM/FG status with automated reconciliation modules
\nLeverage Power BI and other analytics tools to generate procurement reports, track supplier performance, and monitor cost trends.
\nSupport digital transformation initiatives such as automation in procurement workflows and supplier portals.
\n2. Procurement Strategy:
\nPlanning of raw materials, packaging materials, and indirect goods/services required for the business.
\nManage supplier relationships, including negotiations, contract management, and performance evaluations.
\nLiaison with cross-functional teams for alternate vendor development, MOQ reduction, supplier proximity & CRM projects
\n3. Supplier Management & Negotiation:
\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely delivery and reliability for in-house, 3P & P2P operations.
\nConduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
\nDevelop supplier risk management strategies and contingency plans to mitigate supply chain disruptions.
\n4. Procurement Operations & Compliance:
\nEnsure adherence to procurement policies, ethical sourcing standards, and regulatory compliance.
\nWork closely with internal departments to understand material and service requirements.
\nMonitor and analyze procurement spend to identify cost-saving opportunities.
\nMaintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier performance metrics.
\n5. Stakeholder Collaboration & Cross-Functional Coordination:
\nWork closely with supply chain, production, R&D, and finance teams to ensure procurement aligns with business needs.
\nSupport new product development (NPD) by sourcing innovative materials and packaging solutions.
\nCoordinate with logistics and warehousing teams to ensure smooth inbound material flow.
\nEngage in sustainability initiatives and ensure responsible sourcing practices.
\nWho are we looking for?
\nEducation:
\nBachelor s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
\nExperience:
\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on process improvement and operational excellence.
