Role Overview

\n

The Head Employee Relations & Compliance will be responsible for driving the organization s Employee Relations strategy, disciplinary governance, labor compliance, and workplace conduct frameworks.

\n

The role requires a highly mature and strategic HR-ER professional with strong legal acumen, excellent drafting capabilities, and proven expertise in handling sensitive employee matters including disciplinary actions, POSH cases, misconduct investigations, fraud cases, grievance management, and compliance-related interventions.

\n

The incumbent should be capable of partnering with business leaders and HR teams to create a compliant, disciplined, and employee-centric work environment while ensuring organizational risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations

\n
    \n
  • Drive enterprise-wide Employee Relations strategy and governance frameworks.
  • \n
  • Handle sensitive employee matters including: Misconduct cases , POSH , Fraud investigations, Disciplinary actions , Grievance handling ,Domestic inquiries , Code of conduct violations
  • \n
  • Lead employee grievance redressal mechanisms and ensure timely resolution.
  • \n
  • Partner with business and HR teams on employee retention and workplace engagement initiatives.
  • \n
  • Drive policy awareness and employee communication programs.
  • \n

Compliance & Governance

\n
    \n
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws, statutory requirements, and organizational compliance frameworks.
  • \n
  • Manage HR compliance audits and governance reviews.
  • \n
  • Develop and strengthen ER policies, disciplinary procedures, and compliance mechanisms.
  • \n
  • Partner with legal and business stakeholders on compliance risk mitigation.
  • \n
  • Ensure proper documentation and governance across employee lifecycle processes.
  • \n

Drafting & Legal Documentation

  • Draft and review:

  • Show-cause notices
  • \n
  • Charge sheets
  • \n
  • Warning letters
  • \n
  • Employment-related communications
  • \n
  • Investigation reports
  • \n
  • Policy documents
  • \n
  • Compliance frameworks
  • \n
  • Maintain strong documentation standards for all employee-related cases and proceedings.

Investigations & Risk Management

\n
    \n
  • Lead investigations related to employee misconduct, fraud, ethical violations, and workplace disputes.
  • \n
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and legal teams on critical cases.
  • \n
  • Ensure fair, compliant, and legally defensible processes during investigations and disciplinary proceedings.
  • \n

Stakeholder Management

\n
    \n
  • Work closely with HR, Legal, Business Leaders, and external authorities where required.
  • \n
  • Act as a trusted advisor on ER strategy, employee governance, and compliance matters.
  • \n

Candidate Profile

\n

Mandatory Experience

\n
    \n
  • 15 20 years of experience in Employee Relations, Compliance, or HR Legal roles.
  • \n
  • Mandatory qualification in Law (LLB).
  • \n
  • Strong exposure to Employee Relations and labor compliance frameworks.
  • \n
  • Proven expertise in handling disciplinary actions, misconduct cases, fraud investigations, and grievance management.
  • \n
  • Strong drafting and documentation skills are mandatory.
  • \n
  • Experience managing compliance and ER practices in large organizations with distributed workforce structures.
  • \n
  • Strong understanding of labor laws, statutory compliance, and employee governance practices.
  • \n
