\nPosition: Lab Admin Head
\nLocation: Bangalore, Karnataka, India
\nExperience: 6-7 Years experience
\nJob Overview
\nThe Lab Administration Head is responsible for three core areas: managing lab inventory
\nend-to-end, running the sampling and dispatch workflow, and overseeing day-to-day lab
\nadministration. The Lab Administration Manager reports into this role. Inventory management
\nand sampling are the primary focus of this role.
Key Requirements
\n• Bachelor's degree in Science or Management
\n• 6-7 years of experience in inventory management, lab operations, or warehouse roles.
\n• Experience handling chemicals, lab consumables, or working in an R&D/manufacturing
\nenvironment preferred
\n• Proficiency in MS Excel; familiarity with ERP or inventory tools is a plus
\n• Knowledge of FIFO/FEFO practices, MSDS handling, and lab safety standards
\n• Prior experience supervising a small team is an advantage
\nSkills and Responsibilities
\n1. Inventory Management (Primary)
\n%CF; Maintain accurate stock records for all chemicals, glassware, plasticware, and lab
\nconsumables
\n%CF; Conduct regular stock checks, cycle counts, and audits to ensure inventory accuracy
\n%CF; Monitor stock levels, flag shortages or expiries, and coordinate timely replenishment
\nwith the technical team
\n%CF; Ensure proper storage, labelling, and organisation of materials in line with safety
\nstandards (including MSDS compliance)
\n%CF; Follow FIFO/FEFO practices and keep inventory data updated in MS Excel or ERP systems
\n2. Sampling — Picking, Packing & Dispatch (Primary)
\n%CF; Pick samples accurately based on pick lists or project orders, verifying product, batch
\nnumber, and quantity
\n%CF; Pack samples securely with correct labelling and shipping documentation to prevent
\ndamage in transit
\n%CF; Coordinate with courier and logistics partners for timely dispatch
\n%CF; Maintain inward/outward records for all sample and material movements
3. Lab Administration Oversight
\n%CF; Supervise the Lab Administration Manager and act as the escalation point for day-to-day
\noperational issues
\n%CF; Ensure the lab environment is clean, functional, and compliant — covering utilities,
\nhousekeeping, and vendor coordination
\n%CF; Oversee visitor coordination, front desk activities, and external stakeholder interactions
\n4. Documentation & Reporting
\n%CF; Maintain logs and records for inventory, dispatch, purchases, and attendance
\n%CF; Provide regular reports to management on stock levels, sampling activity, and dispatch
\nstatus
